That get square was one of my favourite moments on the field. I think we as supporters/key board warriors should stop for a moment.....think and reflect on what Robbie has sacrificed and achieved for the thing that is obviously meaningful and important to us all.....this club (otherwise we wouldn't be forum members) instead of putting in the boot.

God knows how much I want OUR team to play semi final's football but we can't ignore what Farah has achieved (love him or hate him) and I've loved him and hated him at various stages in his playing career. I'm sure every forum member here has otherwise you are kidding yourself.

As fans we sometimes contradict ourselves and are selfish....me included. We want players to be loyal to the guernsey (when it suits us) but on the other hand when we get the loyalty aka Robbie and Benji and the results don't go our way we consider their loyalty to be a selfish act on their part eg holding on to dear glory.

Always put things into perspective, this is a hobby or passion for most people on this forum but this is life and a lively hood to these guys. Put these thoughts into your own life for a second whereby you give a good part of your life to eg a job and all is well when you were in your prime, but, when you are getting older (btw mid 30's - peak years for 99.9% of people) your considered over the hill.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that passion and loyalty is what we ask for and should not only be reciprocated but celebrated.

I found it funny someone said the other day I was making excuses for Brooks, I didn't want him re-signed, especially on a 5 year deal, I was accused of hating him, now I am making excuses for him, funny really..
When in reality I think he is way over rated, his defence has improved but he has delivered bugger all, but we went all in on him, so we have to make it work, and getting a 7 and moving him to 6 would be a good first step I reckon.


His defence should be the norm ...
The rest is barely A grade standard !



Brook is sitting in the top 10 for try assists leading the run metres for a half as well as most line engangments in the NRL..what does that make the rest...which of them should we get to take us to glory..genuine qustion...


Define glory ...
Glory as in we win 3 in a row ?
Or blitz the Comp ?

I will never forget how good a footballer Robbie Farah was in his peak between 2007-2010, when he was every bit as good as Cameron Smith and literally carried the club after the post-GF years when we struggled for form.

He finished second in the Dally M by 1 point in both 2007 and 2010 (behind Thurston and then, of all people, Todd Carney) and was brought back into the Origin side after that (and frankly should have been there earlier, but for selectors' favourites).

He may not be the most lovable bloke and some late-career actions by all parties are regrettable, but I just can't sink the boot into Farah as a true club legend.

In some ways I think of Farah like Garry Jack, who by all reports is also not universally loved off-field, but you can't argue with the quality of his football over an entire career, even if you didn't rate his swansong (for Magpies fans who forget, Garry Jack retired in 1992 but came back for a last forgettable hurrah in 1995).

My reading of this is, he has put a lot more INTO life and helping people, but hasn't received the same in return.

Seeing you were one of the nutters suggesting Farah was playing 300 at Leichhardt instead of Marathon

Nothing changes though , this club is still a basket case

I'd still take every other playing roster bar the Bulldogs over ours

Ill be cheering Robbie on tonight, its a great achievement to reach 300 games and he has put his heart and soul into this club. At his peak he was brilliant, I will continue to support him as long as he wears the club colours, however I do think the final match at Leichhardt vs the Sharks this should be his swan song.
