Im not convinced Liddle is earning a new contract either.

Doesn’t offer a great deal yet

Well he's not getting the game time to impress. And the coach not giving him the time is in charge of the contracts too. It's not looking good for him.

@gallagher Interesting you say that , I do not think Maguire rates him . If a player is wanted he is signed and sealed, so you could well be right it is unusual that a contract would not be already done .

@matchball how do you think he’s still playing... then he stands there fiending for a bit more of the crystal mid game. Nobody at hooker mind you, maybe that’s how he scores

@851
Yeh I rate him but he has a good bond with ponga...we’d probs be better with an 80min hooker tho

His right to left passing was shocking. Brooks was getting the ball over his head all night. I still can't remember one good pass Farah has given to Brooks.

I'd drop Farah after his 300th. The end.

Farah has been our best dummy half choice all season especially since Liddle hasn't been available for a large part of it. Tonight, however he looked very slow with his service - especially the way he couldn't bend down and his passing was off as well, which makes me think that his back was definitely a problem.
I have to agree that it's time for him to hang up the boots at the end of this season.
However, Liddle has done nothing to show me that he's the answer. Sure he's quicker out of dummy half, but he does not possess the guile and dummy half cunning of Farah and has no kicking game at all. Also Liddle makes a lot of mistakes in a game and is not as defensively sound. Overall he's an amateur compared to Farah.

You are joking, aren't you?

Liddle is what 23 and Farah is 35 - give the kid a go.

I also thought Farah was mentoring Liddle - doing a great job of pinching the DH role whilst they were both on the field.

Cheers mate, he would be handy at 6 or 1 for us

Singling out Farah is like complaining the ice cream shop was out of cones but neglecting to mention they were also out of ice cream. His long kicking was spot on. His replacement literally killed the one time we looked physically dominant by throwing them the ball. I give him 4/10 and I give the team as a whole 2. If he plays on next year I won't join the lynch mob, I'll lead it. He is definitely finished but I'm not going to bag the guy when half the team is worse than him.

I don't know about half the team being worse than him.

I'm a Farah fan but that was shocking. Dreadful service and not letting Liddle get into dummy half frustrated me to no end.

Liddle's best quality is running out of dummy half, but he was out there doing nothing but defending in the middle - pointless.

Can see Madge 'dropping' him to appear like the club is making tough decisions, but really only to let him get his 300th at LO to give Robbie what he wants... headlines.

I know Farah is a team legend blah blah blah, but Liddle also needed to show some minerals and tell Farah to march away and he take the dummy half....that shows the kid lacks a bit of aggression when it comes to calling the plays. He needed to boss the area not let himself get bossed.

I'll put it simply....we all remember Farah v Watts at LO when Watts belted him in a dog shot, then Farah got into the scrum and flogged him right back......

Would you want to follow Farah who doesn't take a backward step, or Liddle who won't even pipe up? If I was a forward I know exactly where I'd go. Forget the mistakes/too old discussion, it's about leadership for mine. Tonight was the game where Liddle could've stood up and taken the team but he didn't.

@WT2K Yes Please, Liddle to start and if need robbie to cameos after his 300th Liddle has been waiting long enough behind Robbie, even sighed when tigers re signed Farah again. waiting yet another year yet again.
i have been a big fan of Jacob Liddle for a number of years now in lower grades

@OzLuke What is Liddle meant to? Belt Farah? Push him out of the way? Dob to the trainer? Farah does what Farah wants until the coach hooks him.
