Anyone know when they will be carried out?

Worried? 😕

He is going to get the results today. I hope it's good news. We need to have Robbie there to have any chance against the panthers.

Wests Tigers rake Robbie Farah in doubt for Panthers game

Wests Tigers will delay a decision on whether captain Robbie Farah plays against in-form Penrith in Saturday's NRL west Sydney derby clash.

The Tigers rake had scans on Tuesday which have revealed ligament damage to his elbow, placing him in doubt for the match at CUA Stadium.

"He's got some ligament damage and we're still weighing up whether he'll play or not," said Tigers coach Tim Sheens on Wednesday.

Chris Corby, a product of the Tigers under-20 side last year is on standby for Farah whose injury will be re-assessed at training on Thursday.

"It'll be another few days before we make a decision I would think.

"But tomorrow will give us a fair idea."

Farah would be keen not to miss any playing time as he bids to reclaim the NSW Origin No.9 jumper for the opening game of 2010 series in Sydney in just over four weeks.

He and Bulldogs hooker Michael Ennis, the Blues' incumbent, are again locked in a fierce selection battle.

They opposed each other last weekend when Farah was impressive but injured his elbow while Ennis took the points as the Bulldogs won and he scored two tries.

The Tigers, who will appreciate having prop Keith Galloway back from injury against a physical Panthers pack, always find it a hard slog playing at Penrith.

In fact Penrith have won 13 of their last 17 clashes at home while Wests Tigers haven't won there since 2006 when they got up 24-20.

The Tigers, however, have done a good job of reversing away trends this year with wins over Parramatta and Manly at grounds where their record was poor.

The Panthers are riding a wave of confidence after their third successive win, thumping the Warriors 40-12 in Auckland last weekend.

I say rest him, better now then later in the year.

Also we dont want the injury to flare up even further because we will be in big trouble if he is out for say a month (Plus it virtually assures Ennis of his Origin spot).

In saying that, I think he'll get needled up and play.

Ugh I remember that night, I remember it vividly, Penrith actually beat us. We were way behind at halftime, got ourselves back in the game and then 5 minutes from time Benji goes for a big hit on Frank Puletua and does his shoulder, as they scored Benji was walking past me into the players tunnel.

It was also the night where I splattered tomato sauce all over me just as the players were running past out of the tunnel at halftime where I copped a couple funny looks from the guys

The last time we beat them there was 07 when we won 25-24.

if he does play how much will it hinder him is the main question sure theyll needle him but is it worth it if he gets a knock on it in 10 minutes and plays like a busted either way i would have Corby in the 17.

yes if he is injured then i'd rather he not play. if he plays and it worsens then later on in the season it will have him out for longer when we need him most. i know the team has a history of carrying injured players but its just not worth the risk right now. however if he is comfortable and confident to play…

Mind you he has played in the games we lost inthe past so it's not as if he is some kind of lucky talisman. I agree if it means saving him for the season give Corby a go.

I dont think Origin is a factor… He gets payed by the Tigers based on his week in week out form.

Origin representation only increases a player profile and contract fee's. I havnt seen the NSW Rugby League pick up a players club check yet!!!

Fitzy will play 9, Corby will come onto the bench as cover…

Don't they get match payments?

And I think some players get contract clauses which sees them get a bonus if they play origin. Not 100% though.

Danny Weidler just reported on 9 news that Farah's injury is a torn ligament in the elbow, "normally a six week injury."

He also said Farah will ask Sheens to play anyway, and Elliot expects him to play.

That's all we need, another injury to our most important player.

Very painful this injury…...

So where does a needle for the elbow go I wonder???
