What defined a a cult Movie?

In this instance whatever you thought a cult movie was Spartan
I think a cult movie is a movie that usually didn't do real well at the box office but had heaps of fans after movie was taken off the screens (Somebody will correct me ,but that was my understanding anyway)

Yes it was Yoss, Happy Days was a series I enjoyed watching, way back then, hey, hey, hey, it had a different Fonz in it to the one Bug talks about.

Has anyone ever seen Toy Soldiers? Watched that a hundred times when I was a kid

The 'Enforcer' with Clint Eastwood is on channel 9 at 11.30pm tonight, the Dirty Harry movies could be considered 'cult' movies I guess.

In terms of cult followings

Office Space - One of the funniest movies… ever
Mall Rats
Equilibrium
Donnie Darko
Tropic Thunder
Defiance
Hanna
District 9
Freddy got fingered
Moon
Scott Pilgrim vs the World
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
The Other Guys
Watchmen
Star Wars (all of them)

I could keep going.... but stopped...

It's a more recent film which cost a truckload to make but performed poorly at the box office but I'd put Tron: Legacy into the cult film category.
