Yeah I was going to mention this game too, think it was a semi final…and maybe 4-2???

Yep that was it, a semi-final that finished 4-0\. A fellow forumer put the highlights of it up on page 1 of this thread. A classic of a contest.
Loved the way those Manly teams of that era played the game, skillful intimidating forwards who defended as a pack of demons and plenty of class in the backs. They were great to watch, always admired the way that team played.

oh, and this one - arguably Blake Ayshfords best game for us in Tigers colours.
Not even kidding.

Yeah me too…hard not to be envious.
They attacked with their defence, it was brutal

Led by Jason King….that bloke was a lunatic!
Clearly remember a game when Adrian Morley was playing for the Roosters and he was ironing blokes out left, right and centre with shoulder charges and King winds up in a suicidal hit-up and got absolutely smoked by Morley-the force of it blew him backwards airborne! Then Matai took the very next hit up and got completely wasted by Morley's shoulder and spilled the pill. Those 2 runs and tackles were just bliss for a lover of hard RL. Would love to see a replay of that piece of action, might have to try to track it down.
