In The Name of The Father

Pretty much any movie Daniel Day Lewis is in really.

Last of The Mohicans is a good film.

Just watched the new version of Midway.....I expected more of it to be honest. I guess you can't compare all war movies to Private Ryan or Blackhawk Down, but this one certainly missed it's potential......

Better than Pearl Harbour??? Comparing like for like.... In story I would say yes but the better action scenes were definitely not......

Yeah I felt like they could have done a bit more with it but that's a Roland Emmerich script for you, promises so much but ultimately falls a bit flat.

Even with the sfx....it was just bland as hell and entirely uninspiring....the fights weren't even that good.....

I was a little bit let down by 1917. It wasn't a bad flick but by the end it just kind of fell flat, much like the lead actor in many respects.

The Platform.....

If you like dystopian movies that inspire depression stick your eyes across this one....

Subtitled so that's an added bonus.....

If you've seen the Cube, then this one is for you.....

It's hard to beat the original Midway movie with Charlton Heston in a near vertical dive in the Dauntless dive bomber with the two Japanese Naval officers on the flight deck of the carrier looking up. The way their eyes expand as they realise the Black dots growing larger are 500lbs bombs heading straight for them.

I agree.....sometimes you just gotta leave the classics alone and not feel the need to re-imagine them....
