Films Not Movies

not a bad vampire flick on world movies tonight " let the right one in "
worth a look imo

Stryker recommended that to me ages ago. It's pretty good. Hollywood did the obligatory terrible remake!

Without the slightest of expectation of it, I watched Predestination the other night and actually quite enjoyed it. Quite derivative but nuanced enough for it to be enjoyed in its own right.

Prisoners (2013)
What Maisie Knew
Syriana (2005)
The Conversation (1972)
Amores Perros (2000)
Traffic (2000)
You the Living (2007)
Wings of Desire (1987)
Once Upon a Time in America (1984)
The Mission (1986)
The Assassin (2015)

watched (again) the original swedish version of 'girl with the dragon tattoo' on world movies last night.good flick with a good storyline. the millenium series are damn good books and pretty good movies.

Flicking through the channels the other week I was amazed to find SBS was screening the French horror film Martyrs….in the 8:30 time slot no less hahaha.

Crazy to think such a ferocious film was deemed acceptable for free to air telly consumption...

SBS was always great for sneaky movies.

When you're a young teenager the Tuesday night titty flick on SBS was the ducks guts.

If you do, make sure it's the 2008 version as Hollywood has remade it and toned it right down. Mainstream audiences are too conservative for films that pack such an emotional wallop. It's not a gore fest which is what American audiences like… it's far more unique, cruel and hellish than that.
