LOL all of those Sydney grounds are the dunghills. Get out and broaden your horizons.

Maybe, but LO is my dunghill - do what you like with yours, you can have a sook on it if you like.

Booked an overseas holiday last summer for September…heading off on Sunday, knew there wouldnt be much else to do this month

I think Parra or Brisbane will win the GF.

Manly are my smokeys, on the backs of the Turbo brothers and DCE.
Roosters won't make the preliminary final, they will get toppled my Manly in week 2.

Preliminary Finals
Melbourne v Manly - Melbourne, in a close one
Brisbane vs Parra - Winner of this to win the GF

Philipines, better half is going back for school re-union …last 5 days of a fortnight there in Boracay

Nice! Enjoy the trip and have a great time. The finals are all academic anyway without WT in them

Point being the capacity of these suburban grounds is virtually the same as Melbourne and Townsville, why not have the home ground advantage for all teams that have earnt it? Unfair advantage for a chosen few.

AAMI holds 30k.
If Melbourne was as stupid as we are and stayed st their craphole (olympic psrk) the NRL would make then play home finals at AAMI.
Nth Qld don't have another option in Townsville.

Melbourne will never get 30k to a finals game.
Whichever way it gets spun it is still a massive advantage to some teams yet others are forced to play away from their home ground.

So where do you want melb to play? I don't understand.

Every home team gets to play in their home city. If their fans can't be arsed going then tough. If you need the venue to get you home you're already stuffed.

I'm interested to see Melbourne v Parra.

We'll see what Moses real measure is in the coming weeks. Let's not forget in that the 11 they won of the last 13 that they've played, they've only played two teams in the 8, the Broncos whom they did admittedly beat twice and Melbourne missing the origin stars.

They've only played Manly once (winning in round 1,) Cronulla once (got done,) Easts once (got flogged,) Penrith once (only won by 6 points,) and Melbourne.

Other than that they've been minnow bashing. They've come home with a wet sail due to the draw, and while you can only play what's in front of you, the lack of football against top 8 sides doesn't really show whether they will match it with the big dogs in the finals.

They won't cake walk it against Melbourne like last time, I think they are on track for a proper hiding this weekend, and I believe Moses will go missing. Bellamy will make sure the Big Three will exploit him.

**Here is my take.
Qualifying finals
Sydney Roosters v Brisbane Broncos = Brisbane Broncos (Roosters have been down on form)
Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels = Melbourne Storm
Elimination finals
Manly Sea Eagles v Penrith Panthers = Manly Sea Eagles
Cronulla Sharks v North Queensland Cowboys = Cronulla Sharks
Semi Finals
Sydney Roosters v Manly Sea Eagles = Sydney roosters.
Parramata Eels v Cronulla Sharks = Parramatta Eels.
Preliminary Finals
Brisbane Broncos v Parramatta Eels = ? I think Eels by a whisker.
Melbourne Storm v Sydney Roosters = Melbourne Storm
Grand Final
Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels.
Champion
? Melbourne by a whisker.**

I am basically counting on the Roosters not being as good as people think they are. They have had players leave and against the Broncos I think they will be out muscled in the front (Bennett can coach finals teams and I expect the Broncos to rise). I would definitely not write off Brisbane vs Roosters.

I think the Storm are solid enough to beat Parramatta week 1, but who knows with injuries and suspensions after that, who knows.

Definite gap between the top 4 and 4-8\. Prelim finals I expect everyone to roll over but maybe Cronulla. If it is Cronulla vs Eels it will be a tight game and if the Eels get too bruised they will be out. I don't see Cronulla winning and having the petrol to go back to back, not with the chaos of Jack Bird and everyone else aging a year. Roosters have the spine, but not the fullback. They are a star down and will go down of the top 3.

Melbourne are the team to beat, Broncos and Parramatta are the teams to beat them. so I am going to back westie's.

Pretty much agree until the prelim - Brisbane to beat Parra and meet Melb in GF - Melb in a canter.

As long as good footy, not dodgy ref's call, decide the final outcome of each match, anyone on their day, could win.
The team who sticks to their game plan and keeps calm, for the 80min will win the grand final.

If Storm win the grand final, I would not be surprised if Cooper Cronk and Billy Slater retire.
