Finals week 1, 2025 discussion

Weird that there is no Friday night game next week. Dogs and Panthers play Sunday. Odd, because whoever wins will have a shorter turn around and have to go to Brisbane. Not sure what the logic in moving a game from Friday night, where the winner would get at least a 7 day turnaround.
spoils go the victors - no 2nd prize

Golden point they were right in front and didn't go for the field goal? Really poor footy IQ.
Also the last set in normal time they just had all dummy half runs and kicked it only 5 metres over the sideline which gave Broncos better field position to attempt that field goal (where they eventually got the penalty).

Then when they were setting up for a field goal Hudson Young heads back across to the other side of the field and the wrong side for Fogarty.

It’s a concern for the Raiders that they don’t have someone who can ice games like that. Any time they have gotten out of jail this year, it’s been through try’s and penalty goals. Fogarty hasn’t stood up, and for as good as Strange is, he isn’t the guy in that situation.

The 2025 semi-finals are locked in with a schedule surprise from the NRL.

After losing to the Broncos in golden point, the Raiders will host the Sharks on Saturday night, allowing the winner to face the Storm in a preliminary final on the following Friday night - avoiding the next day’s AFL Grand Final.

Having looked at the Walsh incident again. It’s not as bad as I first thought. However, he still made contact, and went at Young twice. So could still have a problem.

V'Landys is bullish about not locking in grounds ,home ground advantage ,or days for next year ,how that impacts the bargaining agreement can be solved by with more or less cash.
If you can't beat em ,learn to get along

I don't think it's any suprise that a doggies home knock out game is during the day and not on a Friday or Saturday night.
