Finals Week 1 @ Leichhardt Oval on Sunday 7th Sept

Well that loss at home last week cost our reserve grade team from coming 3rd instead of finishing 6th. It also cost us long suffering fans from watching the reserve grade finals match played before the 1st grade fixture on Saturday arvo .
Oh well , it puts Coach Fletcher in a spot where his team has to try And win again 3 straight games to make the Grand final.
I wonder if Moses , Jy , Santi & Fine will be picked for a meaningless 1st grade match , and held back for a do or die finals elimination match

Good luck to the Tigers this week. A shame Moses, Fine, Akauola and Hitchcox aren't there, but there's not much choice given the injuries in FG. Hopefully the boys can knock out Wyong and get some reinforcements the following week.

The 3 for Wyong is a Grub of the highest order…

Good Luck Wests Tigers

Yeh he was one of us once eh?

Goolagiong…think I read a story on him recently a nephew or rello of Evonne, signed with an NRL club I think for next year

Pretty sad move by Potter picking Fine and Santi last week to debut in a meaningless game for 1st grade when Fletcher's boys were playing for a top 4 spot! Fine straight in after 5 weeks out with a serious hamstring injury when Pato was 100% fit chewing his nails in the coache's box and ready to play. Yet when his centres were playing terrible last 3 months he chose not to debut the young guys?!?! Romour is he's cut about 20's & Reggies making finals while he's lanquishing in the bottom half of the table. Selfish MR POTTER!!

with those outside backs , brown and taukafa who cant read defense this will be the last week for them

Yeah like our centres and wingers in 1st grade who are on bigger $$ and aren't much better in defense!! lol.
At least Fletcher's boys are playing finals considering all year they've had players in key positions go up and down like yoyos due to injuries to 1st grade lol

half the forum wants us to get rid of everyone in FG and replace them with reserve graders, either so we go better or to give them experience.

the other half apparently wants us to stack nsw cup and win the reserve grade comp. Can you imagine the honour and prestige of such a feat? everyone will start respecting this club if we can pull it off :unamused:

You're missing the point, these boys should of been started several weeks ago when we were no chance of of making finals and yet we played players out of position and in the backs like Halatau, Paterson, Sita who are all forwards with no lateral movement!?!?! lol..

It's all good anyways because we can restore our honour this weekend by beating the WOODEN SPOONERS who will field their NSW CUP SIDE!! lmao

the NRL have no idea at all, we are playing at home with the 20s and 1st grade, would it not have a good idea to have played the NSW cup game on the same day rather than sunday, no wonder crowds are falling and people are losing interest , good one DAVID SMITH UR A CLOWN.

Perhaps you missed the article earlier in the week where the club answered this question from a fan? Fox broadcasts the NSW Cup and it was their decision to play the WT NSW Cup game on Sunday for tv reasons. Nothing WT or the NRL could do about it. Fox wanted two top 4 teams playing on that saturday afternoon slot.

I see that that is a problem, but it is our home ground and we should have done something. this is why fans are staying away because nothing matches up any more u pay a fortune to see two games when the other team is playing down the road at some shit venue, and smith says he is trying to win back fans what a lot of shit.

They nearly beat the Cowboys last week.

It should be compulsory that all the 1st grade team be there this afternoon in a sign of club unity , sitting behind the bench cheering ….I reckon we will see Woodsy, Blair ,Jy , Fine , Sika there for sure.

I asked Fine & Jy if they are can back up for today's match ....and Jy said that he wished that would be allowed , but hopefully they will win and Coach Fletcher should see 4-5 back in the following week.

What impressed me yesterday afternoon the most about the lap of the players thanking the fans , was seeing the last man , Blake hobbling around spending lots of time smiling & thanking everyone ....the kid is all class , and IMO a future captain somewhere......I reckon though , he is here to stay

Game is live streaming at the moment. Nsw cup website.

Other than the commentators(who are terrible) . The game is very very physical.

About 30 to go . Wyong 10- tigers 8
