Jesus, I wish we could get him. Would give the club instant credibility.

Been saying that for over a month now.

He doesn't care about the Pathways and Coaches and all, you give him 17 players and he knows how to get the best out of them. That's all he cares about.

And some might argue it’s not good for the long term. But given how starved this club is, I’ll take some short term success without knowing if it can be maintained in the long term. I just don’t see he and Sheens working together sadly.

You're not hiring him for setting up pathways and train juniors etc. The team that we have now, it's not gonna change much for 2 years- we need to get the best out of them and Wayne is the man. Douehi has been our best player but how could Madden look up to him when he hasn't achieved anything in his NRL career?

Probably not the right time for this but Momo was good tonight.

Momo was OK.
Set up the first try in a spectator fashion

Penrith were contained tonight.
Brian To'o, usually a powerhouse was very ineffective.

Luai? I don't see the hype.
Did nothing, lots of ego hype behaviour.

I'll be watching him closely next year at the dogs.

He's carved up at centre but was weak in the halves this year so interested to see what happens when he's a full time half at a team that's coming off a wooden spoon that has a few new recruits and combinations being built.

He needs an organiser inside him. Who's that going to be?

Definitely not an organiser in their ranks.

Lewis? Gone.
Kyle? Possibly gone...

Averillo, Wakeham?
Too similar to Burton.

Spine isn't very well put together at the dogs for 2022....

Maybe they could use a...
#7 Luke Brooks

Ivan Cleary's looking a little 'tired' these days, might be time for another break. Don't want to gloat too much though because they have a hell of a team and will surely win next week.

He didn't handle this week well and I thought he sounded nervous and uncomfortable in the lead up to the GF last year.

Also, never seen a coach get so jumbled and dig such a hole in a press conference.

Finally, having a go at the refs for that match seemed whiny. I thought decisions went both ways.

Imagine being a Parra or Newcastle fan knowing you have to go through Penrith then Melbourne just to get to the GF

In other news, saw a great tweet from someone saying Manly should have played Dan Andrews somewhere in their 17 cos he’d have shut Melbourne down 😅

Instead Manly played Gladys Berejiklian…Slow off the mark and then disappears.

Yeah, but I can't say I'm sympathetic. Imagine being below average all year, getting pumped by any team who mattered, and then losing 38-0 to the wooden spooners. Only thing worse really is to be the wooden spooners who actually found that game meaningful and redemptive.

My issue is: Who do we go for tomorrow? I obviously hate parra and Moses, but they'd be a better chance of beating or at least challenging and hurting Penrith. Obviously would be great for the Knights to beat both, but we've got to be practical here. Do we sacrifice watching Moses happy for a week for a chance to humiliate Penrith, or do we just bank on Melbourne getting it done against Penrith and enjoy Moses choke again in the finals?

Tough decisions for a Tigers fan.

Best presser of all time.

Wayne accused Ivan of being buddies with the ref's cos he use to work with em.
???

So funny

Came across funny but also a little condescending haha, I loved it...

"He use to work with the ref's before he came back to coaching, probably still friends with em"

Words to that effect.

Amazing.

I hate the Clearys.

Me too
