Yeah they were very flat.
3 line breaks assists, 2 try assists and a try himself attacking that edge.
Ivan has some work to do to cover that edge better.

The great thing about Galvin's try and 2 try assists is that it's just enough to justify sticking with him in the starting halves for 2026. Covers some of the elements of absolute garbage he produced today.

All Preston running a direct line and staying upright through contact. McLean and talagi really struggled to handle him.

Yes - i think Brisbane will beat them - once the dogs repeatedly attacked penriffs left side they looked pretty ordinary - i'm sure brisbane will exploit that.

yea him and gould got in early in case things turn sour.
Don't support any team left in the race but I really hope Ashley Klein doesn't get the GF again .He's just not an even handed ref and makes calls based on suspicion . Why Adam Gee dropped is a mystery.
I will be at the GF in the members area and just want a good game decided by the players . Like the Panthers /Broncos one which can't happen again

Usually the teams with a week off play the GF so Storm v Broncos looks most likely.
Preston makes Galvin look good, except when he's doing hospital passes or throwing the ball out.

They had pretty much put the cue in the rack to be fair. Dogs started throwing the ball around and chancing their arm, which scrambled the Panthers defence. That only happens when a team takes their foot off the accelerator and the opposing team gets desperate and pushes passes.

He kept going short and looked good although he started to overdo it so he decides to throw a cutout pass and throws it in to touch - he should have gone short on that play, Preston was in a hole and would probably have broken the defence. For every good thing he does he is still doing 2 or 3 bad things but i think he showed enough to suggest he will be top notch in 2 or 3 years.

It wasn’t all Preston. Lachlan fed him good ball and often dragged Talagi in before passing late.
Usually teams don't win 4 in a row either...
Panthers were up 40-8 after scoring the first try in the second half and probably switched off..
Write them off at your own peril!

Yea i realise penriff had put the cue in the rack but that doesn't excuse that left edge being repeatedly broken - i think Ivan will be working overtime to shore it up and brisbane will definitely be testing it out.

Yes that’s true and an issue but Ivan will sort that.
On the other hand, I don’t see Brisbane shutting down the Panthers attack.

It's hard to guess.
Storm vs Sharks... I can see the Storm going to town. Look the Sharks are a better side then they look on paper, but the Storm have the troops made for this.
Wow, rooting for the Sharks which feel strange.
Brissie vs Panthers... That will be an interesting game. The rest will do Brisbane good and I suspect if Canberra had the rest they would be able to beat the Panthers.
Both Panthers and Brisbane have the gaps in defense that the other side can claim. Brisbane though make their own gaps... The game will go to the team that turns up.

Just a question as I wasn't listening to 9's coverage much and only really watching when something happened, but, was Gould commentating? There was a bit towards end when I heard such a glowing statements for the Dogs, their pathways and where they were going I said surely this can't be a neutral commentator.
