Potential loss of sponsors
Potential Sheens payout
Balmain Leagues Club ability to pay if owners need to cover losses

We get an increase in the grant but a large part of that goes towards the increase in the came and the cap in general. We need to sort ourselves out before the rumours turn from players/staff to solvency

Hold on a second, what NRL club who sign up 'members' allow those members to see the club's financials? The only people who should worry about the club's financials are the members of the Balmain Tigers RLFC, and each of the three parts of the Wests Group. They are the owners of the organisation.

Members of Wests Tigers are effectively customers of the organisation, and that certainly doesn't entitle you to look at the club's financials.

Besides, our sponsorship is strong, our gate takings are OK, we get income for playing at Allianz stadium, our merchandise sales are strong and we are one of the most supported teams in the comp.

And all this before we even look at a ARLC grant or Leagues clubs injecting funds.

If anything we should be in a stronger financial position considering all the players we have released…..unless Sheens takes it all. But I honestly don't think he is like that. Money was never his motivation here.

If you look at last years report there is reason to be concerned and maybe understand why the Club can't afford to pay out Sheens , especially after missing the finals. Also, a worry when you consider the statement by the Auditors regarding the solvency of the club.

Benny Elias has little to nothing to do with the current financial situation of WT. He is an investor in a project that will (hopefully) incorporate the Balmain Leagues Club. That's about the extent of his involvement unless someone can indicate otherwise.

Really, really poor example Karma Tiger. I think you'll find, as was confirmed by the recent newsletter the Balmain Tigers sent to all their Leagues Club and Football Club members last week, that the claims made in this article are 100% false, and "defamatory in nature", as are your comments above.

I dont think the financials are anyones business bar those who are investors/directors of the club… Season Ticket holders are simply customers!

I'm just happy to have a team to support. I dont care how the club goes about their business. I just hope to see them run out each week with a Tiger Patch on their chest!

Why are you so worried about the inadequancies at the Club? Are you a scorned tribal diehard who is still living in the 70'?
