First coach sacked?

I still think after Morris, Madge is most likely to lose his job. Let's say even if Broncos/Bulldogs/Dragons/Tigers don't make the 8, it'll be 3 years that Madge has missed it.

Im coming in from left field.

After the Titans, with all the big name recruitments, are languishing in 14th/15th by mid year, its bye bye Justin Holbrook......

Enter Paul Green.

There's no way either hook or walters will be skewered in their first year. Morris most likely as he only just made it through last season. They'll get off to a shocker I reckon and things for him will only get worse. My guess is week 8 he's gone.

Walters will see out his 2 years

Brisbane's plans are to bring back the old boys which is why Kevie was brought back ......but expect to see Donaghy , Bellamy as a coaching director , and Cam as coach

The only reason Smith isn't there now is the Donaghy deal can't go through

I’m going to be make a bold call and say Anthony Griffin.

Likewise .. Hook has a habit of rubbing senior officials and players the wrong way.. they got flogged in the charity shield and I can’t see them getting any better .. he’s my bet for the first coach sacked this year .. plus they have Flanno sitting in the wings there.

Yeah! Flanno should be able to Pep them all up a bit.

Should have been stamped out of the game.

Don't know why you have been down voted for this. Madge has been building for this year for 2 years. If it all goes tits up questions have to be asked.

Because if Madge and Hartigan can’t fix this mess, who can?

I really can’t see this year failing unless we have an insane amount of injuries or our spine just simply doesn’t fire

oh wow didn't see that i got 3 negs for this haha

assuming any of the 16 teams have a bad year (that is miss top 8)- it would be Morris then Madge then Des (in that order) in the firing block.

If any of the other teams fail, I don't think the coaches would be fired.

It'll be 2 years with his hands tied behind his back and 1 year of re-build with a massive plan on developing young guys. No way is he in the firing line in my opinion. But anyway, well be in the 8. 100%

I would wager Griffin and Morris will be under the most pressure

Despite having done a solid job getting Sharks into the 8 every year (despite carrying Dugan,Fifita and Moylan ..all dead wood equivalent to our Packer,Mybe and Reynolds),Morris is a dead man walking and the slightest hiccup will trigger his non renewal of current contract at year end.He wont be fired...simply not renewed by Sharks Board hoping to relive the glory days.Apart from winning premiership, decision probably already made
Hook has inherited a complete mess which like WTs will take years to sort out,and Dragons shld be patient like weve done with Madge. Not sure whether they can lower their expectations tho.Individual who shld go is Millward who is accountable for all the dud recruiting which he dumps in lap of the coach
Brown has a hard act to follow at Warriors, particularly with the font of all knowledge sitting on his shoulder to second guess every move, with knife poised if things dont go well..Fragile at best...coaches nitemare at worst
Think Arthur has been put on notice to do better..not sure he can with the team hes built(almost all imports btw..)Probably already close to cap,and nowhere to go except south IMO
..and theres always a smokey...Hasler has most of his $$ tied up in the Big 4,which wasnt siuccessful last year and one more sprint along the Corso and its deja vu....!

Hook. Dragons fans are brutal.

It took them what seven seasons to get rid of Mary despite Dragons fans whinging for years about him.

That would be a shame because I think that Griffin is a very good coach. Not sure what the justification was for him getting shafted at the Broncos and Penrith because the results on field were very good at the time at both teams.

It may very well be that he does rub some people up the wrong way, but never the less I rate him as having a very good football brain.

I don't think Flanno is in the picture as a threat at the moment because he got punted as assistant coach at the Drag Queens.

John Morris maybe but I don't think he's contracted for next year anyway. Honestly a lot of the struggling teams have new coaches so we might not see anyone sacked this year! Hasler maybe if they can't make finals but they seem to love Des

Yeah, I think Morris will make it through the season, just won't get a contract renewal.

As far as Des is concerned, he is just such a lovable character that I can't see him getting punted from Manly.

You've got to to love Des even while he's sending you broke and coming up with dodgy statistics proclaiming that fairly ordinary players are the greatest ever exponents of the game.

Seeing we’re playing fantasy coach which is basically like throwing a dart while blindfolded. I like a value bet, and I’m absolutely sure that nobody will agree with this tip. I’ll go for Bellamy. As it unfolds, Storm begin to struggle midway through the season, with a top 4 finish looking improbable. Meanwhile, the board gets impatient as Bellamy becomes more palsy with Broncos leaving the only mutually acceptable solution. A job as director of coaching, much to the delight of his onfield coach who also joins the club.

Morris would be the favourite with the bookies.
Adam O'Brien will be under the hammer at the back end of this season. He would be my smoky.
