6\. Benji
7\. Moltzen

Sure, ther'll be some discussion around McKinnon at FB and Lui at HB, but even so…

What a great mix of size, speed, power and skill. The best backline in the NRL.

Thoughts?

Add Lui and you might be right champ!!!

I am glad you have Blake at no. 3 - he is ready for some big things! He reminds me alot of the untimely deceased Tiger-forever - Jacin Sinclair (and I mean that with total respect to both parties)!

It's a good backline no doubt but it's the depth I like with good options for fullback, wing, centre and the halves.

I think we have one of the best lists full stop in the NRL. We are genuine title contenders with a strong best 13 and solid depth.

Could you please stay on topic Yoss - this is the **backline** we are talking about!!

We need separate threads from others to tell us why Gibbs, Galloway & Payten allegedly don't deserve to play first grade!!

(JUST JOKING MATE - HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU & EVERYONE!!)

Beau will get the first few runs ahead of Nella - but if he gets fully fit - watch-out as he has a little bit of extra upper body bulk that has made no difference to his pinch-tests!

There's too much competition to see TNT starting the year, but I look forward to the big mans return…

Will need a few games to see if everything still works, Yet If TNT is near fit I think they may include him. Think of the Media coverage and the Positive press for the club that stuck with a favourite.

and nine tries in the three trials wouldn't hurt his chances much…. would love to see him treat Anasta as a speed hump in the foundation cup match on his way to a hat trick. - I remember him trampling over poor old Lachlan Coote a couple of years ago... ouch.

you look at the guys that have missed out - mckinnon, lui, daniella,Ryan. These 4 guys would make most run on teams in the nrl, it shows the real depth we have. Bring on 2011!!!

This is how i think itll be settled in..
with Ayshford heading to bench as a forward.
Tui is still a flip of the coin and my gut tells me we wont see him back before mid season if at all

Pretty handy Troy… I love that 1 to 7...

I'm not a fan of Beau, but do you really see Brown getting first dibs on his wing?

No i dont actually.. but i think Brown is alot safer and stronger. But in saying that i think Beau is a real goer, even if he is up and down. Fast and a real clubman.. People may not like his game or style of play but his enthusiasm counts for alot specailly with team mates and specially in games where they are tight. He is always the first their after a try is scored, and he can bring a team up if their heads are down

I still cannot see how anyone can justify moving Ayshford from the centres (where he has absolutelyt excelled) to the forwards - where we have too many genuine back-row options who will already miss out on a spot regardless!

How could he justify a back-row spot ahead of Murdoch-Masilla, Moors, Schirnack, Akeripa, Flanagan etc??

Blake was one of our best throughout the finals series - and he is a much stronger defensive centre than Lawrence or Moltzen!!! His positional play at centre is impeccable - and that is something Moltz does not possess in the slightest - and it also something even Rowdy struggles with despite his years of experience!

we only played 3 semis games. Before that he was threatened with the chop.
But if push came to shove and we had to loose someone in the team it would be him… for all money we need Moltz in the team somewhere and in the starting pack. Ayshford is slow, and a hog, and yes he may be a beter defender but he isnt the attacker Moltz is.. But at the same time we need a back up Half.. Lui/Moltz = stronger then Moltz/Ayshford

I wouldn't mind a wager on it Troy. Sheensy rates Blake very highly indeed - and as for the threat of the chop - that was due to some defensive lapses during the entire team's early season slump - after that he was one of our best for more than 12 weeks!

Even considering his defensive lapses during that period - they were nothing compared to the combined lapses - bad reads and poor positioning committed by Rowdy & Lote on the other side throughout the entire season (and including in the finals - especially in Canberra where Bronson made theem look like retards)!!

It is your opinion - and you are entitled - but Ayshford is a far better player than you give him credit for and I have no doubts we would lose more than we gain by moving him aside for Moltz!!!

In fact you have given him zero credit - "a slow ball-hog" is hardly a fair description - but if you really don't like him you may as well exxagerate!

The tough metres and dominant tackles he makes are worth more than you realise! In the modern game centres need to play tough like Blake - and Moltz has certainly never proven that robustness is his forte!

you are exactly right,, it is my opinion just like that is yours.

My opinion of him is that is doesnt add spark or attacking to the team.. his defence is prob better then moltz but Moltz is a proven better attacker..

And he Ayshford is a Hog.. once again my opinion.. dont like.. dont read it.. simple
