Not a bad choice, but again might be too close to the players.

WESTS TIGERS are doing their best to revamp their coaching structure - they are very keen on signing Brad Fittler as an assistant to Tim Sheens. Fittler is very popular with the Tigers playing group and the search is on for a different voice at the club. High-ranking officials were keen to move Sheens on - he knows it - but at issue was the payout. Fittler is a Roosters man but he enjoyed his coaching stint and there is no doubt an assistant coaching role would fit in with his media commitments.

so Fittler might come as Asst Coach because he is " very popular with the Tigers playing group '. Give me a break. Is that an excuse to sign a coach, because the players like him. Fittler is a twit, witha pretty ordinary record in coaching.

He is not what is required.

Allegedly we can't afford to payout Sheens but were looking at getting another assistant coach after recently signing Simmonds as one. I suppose an extra pair of hands can rearrange the gym quicker. Come back home Noyce, wouldn't of happened under your watch.

Fittler is a good guy , but I think they group needs a strong disciplinary type coach , if they are going to get some one else in to the fold , I would be trying to get Steve Folks back , or maybe even JT …...

Im a big Sheens fan, But please no more nice guys.

Happy with the choice if we get him.

I think the TV persona belies someone who is a very good thinker and understands the game. Remember he was an outstanding player who could read a game as good as anyone. You don't get to his status in the game without having an exceptional football brain.

I suppose the real question is about his man management and communication skills

He was a great player but don't see him as influential in bringing results to WT… Still too close and tied to current playing rosters (especially with anasta coming along)
