Fitzy to Tigers - Cashmere looking to return to NRL

I was at Brookie that night. The fact that there wasn't a defender with-in 10m of him made it even more special. I believe he followed that up with one of the worst passes from dummy half in NRL history.

Arrrh Fitz-woefull what memories.
Still he's run out in first grade many more times than all of us fans bagging him
and when he did catch the ball we were cheering him all the way to the try line.

I remember yelling out his name to give him a gobful at Telstra against saints one day….he actually looked my way when he heard his name...threw me off so much I forgot what I was about to yell....mind clearly wasnt on the job if he was hearing the crowd.

Fitzy was a walking disaster he cost us far more games than he helped us.I wish him well for next year but please only let him play for the magpies and i hope he goes well for them

Right, so I guess you can put him in with Wally Lewis then because me and my mate yelling at him at LO got him to turn and give us an angry glare. Clearly Wally was off with the fairies while he played. :unamused:

BTW does anyone still have a copy of the King Fitzy .gif?

For those that can only focus on his faults have a look in the 2005 GF when he made a run in the second half that eventually led to his scoring in the corner a few plays later. All the commentators talked him up and pointed out how that run had inspired the team to dig deep hen they had been under the pump.

He was nowhere near as bad as some of you make him out. Having said that he will find it hard to get a run in 2010 when the Tank is fit and Latte joins the team.

I sort of agree.

The problem was when the master coach played him in the halves. A lot like our Cronk. Decent players in their positions - not skillful enougth fo the halves.

When fitzy ran straight he was an asset, whe nhe had his doughnut king hat on and could produce nothing but a stop start go left, go right oops go back left again type of run he was one of the most frustrating players to watch

**QUOTE by the great immortal Peter Sterling: Well that's magnificent…how can a player who can do that be still under-rated. Certainly not by his team mates...** :sunglasses:

Great video. I must say I don't have those memories when I think of Daniel Fitzhenry but perhaps I should be less cynical. Nice to see all those tries ( can tell I'm missing the footy already).

yeh, you guys keep watching the videos with crouchin tigger because you wont see much better from fitzhenry in 2010 i dare say his best days are past him. good luck. i choose not to live in the past, i guess we're all different.

Interesting thing about most of those Fitzy highlights is the fact at the time we were being beaten soundly on the scoreboard!

What about him beating Mitch Brown cold in one try!

I'd like to watch a video of Daniel Fitzfumble's bloopers but I'd have to take a full day off work just to have time to watch it all..

I wonder how long its going to take for Fitzy to be used as a scape-goat for the times when the team struggles in 2010.
if he is good enough he may get a run in 1st grade.
simply that is not for us to decide.
who knows he may even score a try, to add to his tally, as top tryscorer for wests-tigers.

whats worse a person, who in the heat of a battle, tries and sometimes does not not succeed, or a person who has never tried, or been in that battle himself, and will always criticise and point out the failing of others.

Theyre supposed professionals.
Theyre in a business that draws spectators Its not a matter of spectators, or those paying supporters having been there done that…a little too simplistic an approach there.
Credit where credit is due, so to the opposite.
