Five players make representative sides
Five Wests Tigers players will be in action in two international matches in Townsville on Saturday, October 13.
Captain Robbie Farah has been named in the Australian Kangaroos side as an interchange player for the Test match against New Zealand Kiwis at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
Lining up against Farah in the Tim Sheens Australian coached side will be Benji Marshall, who will be playing his 27th Test match for the Kiwis.
They will be joined in Townsville by three premiership winning Wests Tigers NYC players in Jacob Miller, Mosese Fotuaika (pictured) and Sauaso Sue.
Miller has been named as the Junior Kangaroos half-back to play the Junior Kiwis in the curtain-raiser to the Test match between Australia and New Zealand at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
It is the second time Miller has represented the Junior Kangaroos after pulling on the jersey in 2011.
Fotuaika and Sue will pull on the Junior Kiwis jerseys for the first time.
All three players enjoyed a superb year and played major roles in Wests Tigers winning the NYC premiership for the first time at ANZ Stadium last Sunday.
Wests Tigers NYC Coach Todd Payten was extremely happy for his men.
“Jacob, Mosese and Sauaso have been outstanding all season. They constantly deliver each week and thoroughly deserve their selections,’’ Payten said.
“This will be a tremendous experience for them and it will only make them better players. It certainly caps off a big few days for the boys.”
