Five Wests Tigers players make Australian squad

How good is this, in 05 when Banana Benette was oz coach and the tigers won we got one player named in the squad, Prince, and he was sat on the sidelines all tour because he wouldnt sign for his beloved boncs, what a golden oppertunity to pick Boyd and sit him on the sideline for the entire comp and give the rest of the Banana's men an early off-season.

One thing that would p**s me off would be Cooper at left centre. That bloke is overrated to the max. Hope Sheens realises that and picks Rowdy at left centre!!

Also, Tahu hasn't been mentioned anywhere but I think he will be injured as well TBH.

That and Tahu is overhyped rubbish. There is rarely a centre in the game who costs his team as much as this muppet with rushing defence

You'd think Lawrence would be a chance at least in the Kumuls game where I'm guessing it will be pretty much the B team.

I personally like to see Origin players promoted to the National side.

Chris Lawrence should be an exception this year as he should have been in blue this year and will almost certainly be there in 2011.

The other center candidates don't rate highly for me and all come from teams that were out of form.

Gall and Farah in the second team and that will cap off a good year for the tigers

team is:
Darren Lockyer (capt), Sam Thaiday, Tom Learoyd-Lahrs, David Shillington, Paul Gallen, Greg Bird, Anthony Watmough, Cooper Cronk, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith, Kurt Gidley, Matthew Scott, Willie Tonga, Jarryd Hayne, Petero Civoniceva, Luke Lewis, Darius Boyd, Brett Morris, Dean Young, Todd Carney, Nate Myles, Brent Tate, Robbie Farah, Chris Lawrence.

I think that will equate too:

1) Slater
2) Hayne
3) Lawrence
4) Tonga
5) Morris
6) Lockyer
7) Cronk
8) Shillington
9) Smith
10) Civoniceva
11) THaiday
12) Watmough
13) Gallen
14) Carney/Gidley
15) Myles
16) Scott
17) TLL

18) Luke Lewis
19) Bird

Backup: Brent Tate, Robbie Farah, Darius Boyd, Dean Young

Think he may have missed out due to his ribs.

That and Unfortunately theres just been better in the back three. Slater, Hayne, Morris and Boyd were all certainties to be picked and theres no need for any others. And if there was I think you would of had to of go Uate over Tuquiri as well.

Uate isn't eligible until 2011 & is therefore not in the squad.

I think Galloway was a bit stiff given his finals form. Matt Scott has to be considered to be lucky - and Dean Young is redundant!

Somehow I think Tate will get the start at centre ahead of Lawrence at this stage. He is a proven veteran of 19 Tests and 15 Origins.

He actually got clearance yesterday its on the Knights site. (Uate)

Dean Young will get token game against PNG… I hate to say Farah will probably be the same.

Galloway a bit unlucky, but Scott did the job in origin and unfortunately that counts. The good news is Galloway came close and with that, if he does the right things should be up there in SOO.

Mmmm your right. However I think the spot is still very open and if Lawrence was to perform well given his opportunity, by the end of the series the spot could be cemented. I dont think the same could be said for Farah though who i think will just play one game or so against PNG

Brent Tait is a Right Centre…

I'm expecting competition between Boyd, Tonga or Chris for that Left Centre Spot. Boyd will be hard to leave out, and apparently Tonga had a great game against the Kumuls...
