Five Wests Tigers players make Australian squad

Having analysed it. I think this will be the 34 man squad, which obviously has to be cut down to 23\. I think you have to take into consideration (i know we didnt) but if Dragons or Roosters win it will get a few of those players over the line. The ones ive put in BOLD i believe are 100% certainties which make up 16/23\. So theres probably 7 spots left for the unbolded.

Fullback: **Billy Slater**, Darius Boyd, Josh Dugan
Wing: **Hayne, Morris**, Tuquiri , Minichello
Centre: **Lyon,** Jennings, Gasnier, Cooper, Lawrence
5/8: **Lockyer**
Halfback: **Thurston**
Prop: **Shillington, Civioniceva,** TLL, Hannant, Ryles, Weyman
Hooker: **Cameron Smith,** Farah
2nd Row/Lock: **Thaiday, Watmough, Lewis, Gallen, Nate Myles**, Creagh, Costigan, Bird
Utility: **Cooper Cronk, Kurt Gidley**, Todd Carney, Anasta

**CUT FROM SQUAD:** Ennis, Ashley Harrison, Laffranchi, Minichello, Prince, Tonga, Tahu, Croker, Galloway, Payten, Taylor, Jason King, Mitchell Pearce, Tate

The ones

Medicals are tomorrow, some of those players may be rubbed out due to injury.

galloway must be a chance, hannentt has played terrible this yr and over the last couple of wks KG looks to be in better form then shillington, TLL, ryles and wayman( who looks very injured). i think everything else looks pretty spot on

Disagree slightly, I'd have Prince and Carney in bold as backups for Locky and Thurston. I wouldnt have Cooper Cronk or Kurt Gidley in bold. I'd also have Anasta in bold. He really deserves a spot. I also wouldnt have Morris in bold - he is pretty bad at this level. I think Lote is a real shot.

Didn't Thurston have his foot in a boot and on crutches after his arrest..?

I'd almost bet on it…will he be fit?

I reckon Robbie Galloway and Lawrence will make the final cut...

Well deserved...

I think Shillington and Civoniceva and Matt Scott are the first 3 picked and deservedly so. If theres a 4th spot i think its between Ryles (only if roosters win the comp), TLL, Weyman (who will be out) and Galloway. And if its between those 4 i think Galloway will be last in line.

Thats not my team but what im sure theyll go with.

Gidley is in every rep side possible, but you are right now that TC is there we might see the end of him. Cronk also has played in the last two australian sides and is a good cover for 7 and 9\. I actually do think he should be there, and with cronk, Carney, lockyer, and JT in there, i dont think theres room for Prince. Id have Anasta as well but not sure if theyll find room for him.

Morris will be there, i think you know it as well. I dont think id go for him but hes loved by all and about to play in a GF. Hayne will be the other wing for sure, and Darius Boyd, who is also loved by all, will make up the back up winger and fullback which will mean Tuquiri is out (i think anyway).

Centres are a real lottery.

I think Jennings, Watmough and Thurston are likely to pull out due to injury. Whilst there is doubt over Prince, Lewis, Lyon, Tuqiri and Payten.

No way the following

Fullback: Josh Dugan
Wing: Minichello
Centre: Gasnier, Cooper
5/8: Lockyer - is he over the rib Thing??????
Halfback: Thurston - Injured
2nd Row/Lock: Watmough, Nate Myles, Costigan, Bird

Yes Way the following
Prop: Shillington, Civioniceva, TLL, Hannant, Ryles, Weyman
Hooker: Cameron Smith, Farah

Galloway and Lawrence are outsiders as neither has cemented a NSW spot yet IMO

Depending on the GF
Carney and Peirce may find that the are in the mix somewhere depending on Lockyer, Thurston and prince.

Lets see - When is the squad named?????

Australia halfback Johnathan Thurston is one of four players to be ruled out of the Kangaroos train-on squad for next month's Four Nations tournament.Thurston's ankle injury has failed to recover in time, while Penrith’s Michael Jennings, Manly skipper Jamie Lyon and Gold Coast Titans’ forward Mark Minichiello were also forced to withdraw following medical examinations in Sydney on Wednesday.Like Thurston, Jennings and Lyon both have ankle injuries, while Minichiello picked up a groin strain in the Titans' finals loss to Sydney Roosters on Friday night.West Tigers players named in the train-on squad were at Wednesday's gathering at Redfern Oval, but were excused from official training duties.

Can they add players to cover players who have dropped out ? maybe a chance for Heighno, since Minichiello has been ruled out ?

They won't, it's just a train on squad, the final squad will be picked from the players in the squad now along with Roosters and Dragons players. Anyone who didn't make the original cut is no chance of making the final squad.

Thurstons ankle was ok a few weeks ago - he didn't even need his crutches!

Lyon and Jennings would of been the Australian centres. Now that there out it throws it wide open and the only centres in the train on squad are Lawrence, Croker and Tonga, with Gasnier and Cooper to be in the mix. Croker is clearly a sympathy/future selection and wont be picked.

So I guess theyll take 3 out of Lawrence, Tonga, Gasnier and Cooper. With Sheens at the helm in this situation I think its safe to say Lawrence will make the squad, and I think he will be joined by Tonga and Gasnier. I think rep selectors have seen enough of Cooper

Don't forget Tate!! The last thing Sheens wants to do is blood a young person in the team and Tate has been at this level before.

It think Rowdy has a HUGE chance coz the only left centres possible are Cooper, Tonga and Rowdy!!!

Come on Sheens, do it for the TIGERS!!!!

Tonga is a specialist right centre that can play on the left.

I thought it was the other way around 😕

He had to play right centre in Origin because moving Inglis from left would be stupid 😕

Lawrence on the left, Tate on the right. Plenty of skill and speed to burn! … if Lawrence doesn't get at least one game the ARL is a sham.
