Surely WT has interviewed everyone who has applied.
Now wouldn't that be the most logical process to go by.
If you take a normal job, say a secretary for a law firm, that firm puts out the job vacancy and description.
The club then looks over the applicants regimes and then interviews the short list in a period of a week.
You don't throw yourself at one person because if that applicant goes tites up you ask the next in line if they are interested.
Apparently Sheens said his phone will be running hot.....well phone call business deals are flawed Tim.
We should have had preferences 1 thru 5 and select the best available candidate.
This process could have been completed by the job's description/vacancy mandate.
We are a rock show.
We should have never announced the loser but only the winner.
Shouldn't have even announced the candidates.

Absolutely, I imagine some of the better prospects may have needed a nudge via a quick call to say send us your cv, but the guy you take notice of is the one who gets his cv in first, then calls you to check that you’ve received it. Regardless of how well known. I suspect nepotism is strong in that there are only 17 of these jobs in the country.
I was referring to Flanagan publicly announcing that he would love to coach Bulldogs, but a week later Gus said he had no applications.

Further Cobar, the point you make about WT announcement that Ciraldo has rejected our very generous offer to stay at Penrith, is further evidence that these guys are playing some kind of political game with Penrith, when they should be focussed on installing best practice systems and procedures designed to get us into a GF.

There’s a good helping of one up man ship in their behaviour with Penrith. Why announce every detail leading up to the Ciraldo meeting? The 7 hours of touring the CoE. The 5 year contract, which incidentally may have contained reams of legalese judging by Cleary’s response that CC can have a contract at Penrith with whatever he wants in it. This public display had no other meaning than to taunt Penrith. Pascoe is obviously still smarting over the fallout. Why don’t we get on with a WT vision and its implementation.

Have you got rocks in your head you're talking about WT here, of course they wouldn't do it the correct way.
They just go to the media with candiate's name wait until it gets splashed all over every news outlet, then when they knock the position back we start the process again.
It used to be on here it's was called "last man standing".

He has Undermined for the Job! That being the Dogs job.

Basically Shane Flanagan was trying to start trouble at Belmore to get Potter and Barrett out. Been a total PITA.

Which sucks as Flanagan seems to be the best option for us at the moment. I wonder what Potter would think of swapping Brooks for Liam Flanagan?

Lets wait till dogs take flanagan, and we will take potter back, i think he is a good coach, in the time he was with us our team went through a terrible time with injuries, at least we know he can coach, grab him and give him a few stars to coach the rest of the team around. Lets face facts grand finals are won by not only the coach, but also the big name players in your team, and in the last 9 years or so, our only superstar, going by our club, is ???? Luke brooks???? We need to get 2 or 3. And get rid of our current 1.
