The UK newspaper The Mirror has reported that Wests Tigers backrower Mark Flanagan is entertaining a return to his native England:

"Former Wigan forward Mark Flanagan, currently playing for NRL side Wests Tigers, has been linked with a move to Widnes."

Flanagan is named in this week's Balmain Ryde Eastwood side and is yet to play first grade in 2011.

and fulton aint all that small anymore.

meh, throw him in the centres! e's a big(ish)…. well not really kind of centre...

All the best to him. Flanno will return to England a better player for his stint in Australia. Got a fair bit of FG experience last year so it will benefit him in the ESL.

Thanks for the memories, lol….
Frees up some $$ if true, time to offer a good deal to Fifita and Woods.

Good Luck Mark…he is too good to stay in NSW Cup...he played well for us last year...better opportunities in ESL.

Should never have taken off the headgear.
In the games he wore it he really made an impact.

In all seriousness good luck to him.
as others have said if he was to leave it would free up some money to offer contracts to players that are currently infront of him in the pecking order

He's wasting his talent where he is now.
Sheens seems to prefer plenty of the young guys over him so they should let him go rather than make him stagnate in BRET.
Good luck to him - never let us down when called on.

Good luck Flano hope you took away some good memories of Australia and the Tigers . best of luck for future . You were good when you got your chances at top level

Surely given our injury problems we would want to hold on to him until the end of the year?

Widnes are currently in the Co-Operative Championship but have been awarded a position in the ESL from next season, he would I imagine remain with BRET until the end of the season as it is a higher standard than the Co-Op and he has a chance to play NRL at the same time.
Can't remember him letting us down at anytime so good luck at the Vikings next year Mark, they'll appreciate what you've learnt downunder as they'll do it tough for the first couple of seasons.

At the end of the day Flanno just has too many in front of him at the Tigers and I reckon it was always on the cards for him to head home at the end of this season. All the best to him though.

Audios Amigos, Siyanara, Bon Voyage, Ariverderchi, what else you want to say, good luck to him, couldnt make it in first grade has too many other players in front of him
