The bloke is scum, always complaining about bad treatment and proven cheat. Let him sit in his coffin and rot.

Mate this is a very emotional response from you. Usually your posts are very calm and logical. Genuinely interested as to why this guy really fired you up?

Don't like him or his stupid face. There are certain types in footy that just rile you up.

I can't stand Flanno's stupid face at every press conference, carrying on as if nothing is his fault and Sharks are never to blame, always complaining, always siege mentality. I've just never liked his public persona, not ever, and then he got busted and banned, and the prick kept on directing the Sharks in secret. Imagine if Pascoe was caught doing Tigers stuff during his ban, the NRL would have thrown him off a cliff.

Fair call. I feel similarly regarding Gallan. Nothing is ever his fault

So do I and no surprise they were captain coach combo for many years.

Peter V’landys has squashed suggestions Shane Flanagan could have his head- coaching ban reduced, effectively ruling him out as a possible early replacement for besieged St George Illawarra mentor Paul McGregor.

Currently McGregor’s assistant, former Cronulla coach Flanagan is banned from becoming a head coach again until 2022 after violating the rules of a previous suspension over his role in the Sharks’ supplements scandal.

“He (Flanagan) has to serve the penalty he’s been given and there’s no reason at this stage to change that penalty,” ARLC chairman V’landys told 2GB radio on Thursday.

Despite being contracted until the end of 2021, McGregor is under enormous pressure to turn around his winless and under-performing team before the next Dragons club board meeting later this month.

V'landys is definitely winning me over.

Good work and nicely said. He's not backed himself in a corner and saying definitely no not ever will Flanagan be allowed back early, which would have been very silly because who knows what will happen in the future. But he has quashed the rumour at least for now.

Mary McGregor will be lucky to last another three or four rounds, and if they lose to Bulldogs this week, that might even be it for him.

There are suggestions (I believe it may be Phil Rothfield) of a return to the Sharks.

There is also the article from Weidler about the payout Paul Gallen received from the Sharks.

Flanno is already a Dog

Conspiracy theory
Has anyone considered that the Dragons players might not be putting in the big efforts so thier current coach gets the flick
And who is likely to take over if the NRL allow

We know the team should be performing much better than it is now. I believe the Dragons have too much pride in their histories to behave in that manner.

Flanno as much as I didn't enjoy that period at the Sharks, is a match for that club. I expect him back there again when he is able to coach.
