Spaghetti Aglio e Olio With prawns is a great dish …. Easy to put together ….. try it

It's good but you know what's even better... spaghetti vongole 🙂 When I was a youngin I used to go down to the South Coast and get fresh vongole from the beach... that was until every man and their dog was doing the same thing.

Vongole ...always meant to ask the question ..is it a pippi or a clam/mollusc

Vongole and Pipis are both members of the Clam family. Vongole is basically Italian for Clam.

So it is a Pippi ????

How do you make them edible .....we tried ...and we could of used them on our next set of retreads ......

Does anyone know where you can get good Leb food on the Central Coast? I'm not a Leb but my daughter-in-law is and she introduced me to the delights of the food.

Byblos , I think that’s how you spell it in Gosford goes good mate. It’s in kibble park across from the courthouse if you know Gosford.

Byblos has been shut for a couple of years now. Lived in Gosford for 11yrs and went there often. Was amazing up until they closed.

Cook in salted boiling water till they open up or in a sauce/stew like you would with mussels till the shells open. If any are already partially open DO NOT eat as they're generally already off and good chance to give you food poisoning. Great in chowder or an Italian type sauce such as white wine and garlic or tomato, basil and chili.

Technically not a Pipi though as mentioned part of the Clam family as are Pipis.

Yeah Safran is amazing, been there a few times and loved it every time. Motel Mezza in Wyong is the next best thing to Byblos.

That all sounds so bloody good. My mate made those jalapeno poppers with bacon, stuffed a bit of anchovy in there as well. I'm nofan of anchovy but they were real good.

You must be very spiritual champion @Spartan117 because I heard that, to get holy water, you need to burn the hell out of it.

Have you tried Motel Mezza? It's a restaurant in Wyong that does Leb food. Mrs and I have dined in many times and ordered their take away even more when we've been in lockdowns.

Thank you. Haven't tried it but will definitely give it a go.

Kebab shop pizza Demps?

Yeah, this one is from @westTAHger old ends.

Think it's called Tasteful Creations @ Waratah.

Does kebabs, pizza and Indian food.
Some of the staff look Indian and some of the staff look Turkish.

The kebabs are OK, I don't eat Indian food... but the pizzas are really good.

I've had the Indian from there, very nice. Also a fan of there $1 fish cocktails.
At Waratah shopping village, also have Red Rooster, Subway, Bones bakery, Coles etc.
Plenty to choose from.
