Really worried about how all the creativity is being coached out of our players. Compare Brooks and Moses first game to where we are now and it is chalk and cheese. Yes we had some more support around them but it is a disgrace what is happening to the team. Our 5 hit up followed but a kick is so predictable teams have to do nothing at all but tackle well to beat us. We are throwing nothing at all at them. It is stuff from under 10's. Anyone could coach us to play our current plan out there.

I'd much rather watch us try something than play this. Low point for the club but much lower point for rugby league… which is meant to be a sport to entertain.

Tackle 1: Richards hitup
Tackle 2: naiqama hitup
Tackle 3: simona or hoeter hitup
Tackle 4: yay a forward hitup
Tackle 5: bomb to the same place, same player, no chase. Opposition fullback makes 25m kick return through scrappy kick chase.

Rinse and repeat.

The media need really need to go after Taylor and make him explain why we are playing this boring as hell game plan when we have all these great attacking players.
I hope Taylor has them coming at him from all angles, this is too painful to keep watching, and I watched wests go back to back spoons.

I watched Newtown finish around the bottom of the competition for years on end. But I enjoyed every match because they tried to play open football irrespective of the talent they had on hand. Taylor's coaching will drive thousands away from this great game.

It is so aweful to watch and completely vindicates the sentiments in last weeks thread about whether you enjoy the game.

I know it isn't pretty to watch , but if we have to put up with this for 12 months and start seeing the benefits then I can live with that

I know many care about what we look like , but I don't We win a premiership in 2017 and look as boring as watching grass grow I won't care a bit

Bring on the ugliness JT , but please just make sure we have a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow , to be sure , to be sure

But why do we have to have the ugliness? Why do we have to have improved defence at the cost of zero attack? Good sides, competitive sides have both. Are we just being selfish? We are waiting for teams to make mistakes and lose games. Last week against Newcastle and again last night are classic cases of that. Paul Green's comments at half-time with the score 2 - 0 was "we don't need to score any more points to win" That's hardly a compliment to our attack!!!

Agree 100% so predictable so boring. I could maybe hande it if we were wining. :crazy

It's boring as hell to watch. Literally asking no questions in attack and the only time we look like scoring is when something goes awry and we throw it around ad-lib.

I believe it's Taylor's way of teaching the young guys to get in the grind and keep it simple especially for the halves.

The problem is it's going to lose us at lot of games. In first grade footy you cannot go out there and treat games like a training session. If they aren't ready for the step up then back to reggies they should go until they are so they gain consistency. It's a professional sporting club, a business after all, there is a demand for immediate results every year.

You see guys like Aitken, Bird, Elgey come into grade and make an immediate impact, apart from Brooks' debut and Moses vs the Dogs last year, I honestly don't think they deserve to be in first grade yet, they just aren't consistently grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. The examples above aren't playing badly and don't look out of their depth.

Whilst it's important to invest in youth, it's also import to surround the young guns with experience and leadership and sorry to say but our "leaders" haven't shown me much, in fact they're generally the ones letting us down. Farah's been off most of the year, Galloway, Lawrence, Richards, Halatau. Who's the game breaker and leader in that lot, don't see much talk on the field?

Woods and Taupau are the only forwards who've stepped up this year. We needed a Beau Scott, Ryan Hoffman type leader in the back row. A marquee player. If old fan favourites have to be cut to fit them so be it.

Apologies for venting. You guys are just good listeners haha

We have such creative players but other than the first few games the last several have been totally boring.

Absolutely no individual creativity no flare skills no longer being shown from individuals let alone creativity from the team.

Your game plan if there is one sucks JT.

Agreed. We have been style over substance way too long and its netted us 3 finals appearances in 15 years.I know last night was hardly the resounding argument to Taylors coaching credentials however I do like how our defence has improved this year. Now just for some attack to flow.Pretty sure over next few weeks it will too.

We played the Roosters and Knights at very bad times last night we should have won however over the course of this year by seasons end Im pretty sure we will see improvement from last year.I loved How Moses last night grubbily pushed a defender back into the play the ball to get us a penalty.

It shows some game smarts and its something we see from players like Ennis and Bird do about 4 times a game to win penalties. We must be smarter and more aggressive in the 1% of the game that are so important in the game. Moses has some real competitive fire in him and I hope it rubs off on our forwards and others.

The Raiders was exactly what Taylor has been talking about

We came out on fire with the ball and massive amounts of possession , but that possession was always going to turn and what happened then what was going to make us or break us

And it broke us , we couldn't cope

As Woody Harrellson said in "White men can't Jump " he rather win ugly than lose pretty

That is where we are at

Your choice WT's fans "Win ugly or lose pretty "

OK these are good young players you have named, but just how well are Titans and Sharks travelling? You watch a game or two where Jackson Bird dominates, you label him a rising superstar, but on average his performances are average and his team is not doing great.

We get the same thing in reverse, we have media people lauding Brooks and Tedesco, and we read every article and watch every minute of play, and don't necessarily see what the media is hyping up. So people are quick to say Sironen and Moses maybe need a run in reserves, when the same can be said of many young footballers going around.

Sandow for instance, he absolutely dominates NSW Cup, gets a recall and plays like a mug. The gameplan should not have had him at FB in my opinion, but they are trying to find some way to include such a highly paid player. You can't have a million bucks running around in reserves every week, that leaves you with about $12.50 for first grade.

Understand what you are saying

But we aren't a good side

yet …............

Its going to take time to get some consistency from the young fellas

JT is helping with that by going back to the absolute basics

Some days we will outlast the opposition , others we won't

Just part of the complete learning curve

Sure we can live with that, but it means not watching the WT games on tely, less supporters turning up to watch them play live because we're so BORING to watch and good luck trying to win sponsers with the promise of good times ahead. Our half's are an excitement machine i'm led to believe, but JT wants them to play consistently boring footy. I just don't think they can play that sort of style and be successful. JT has got to find a happy medium between attack and defence and find it fast, for the Club's and it's supporters sake.

We are doing neither,we are losing ugly, and that is unexceptable.

Happy i can pretty much guarantee you would have a different take on this had you attended the game.
The fans who are paying like we did over $180 for a night out with tickets and dinner at the club are not going to be here in 12 months.

They will be lucky to last 12 weeks.

For those that werent there and were a little fooled by what looked a more interesting game on tv.

The 2 adults amongst us called it the most boring game of rugby league we have been to. Any level any club.

By the end of the first half almost every single person in the crowd had discarded their free Wests Tigers TRY sings, i must have stood on close to 500 going to get a coke.

Come the 60th minute no one bothered to get to their feet when a back line spread was looking likely. We had seen it for 60 minutes already and it was more sideways then Benji, had no real impact and was basic under7's style looped passes, confusion and a panicked non thought out bomb placed at the end of it.

Then the Cowboys scored, a few people including myself dusted off our discarded TRY signs, held them up then walked off to the car.

Next time we are going for Gozlome and a movie.
