For and against ..... the tigers

i know this has been discussed before, but fair dinkum the sooner there is a genuine home and away season where all teams play each other twice the better.
for and against is more than likely going to be a critical factor in the final positions of the final eight.

this is something the nrl / or the new commission ( if it ever gets off the ground ) must sort out one way or another.

I'd love to see just which teams in the finals played the lower teams twice, and who didnt

Im not too sure how it works out but i have a feeling we dont want to know. When u consider we are currently in the eight with 5 rounds to go and we have beaten just ONE top team, im assuming we've had it pretty good playing the lower teams. Thats just an assumption though

Have two divisions Play the team in your division twice and the teams not in your division once and have a break for origin and tests That should be 24 weeks
Or start the season earlier Start the first week in February and have 4 quarter football until end of April to beat the heat .
Players are saying that injuries are ocuurring due to overtraining Let them get match fitness while playing Maybe increase the interchange from February to April
Hopefully the IC will get the right mix

We played our share of SO called lower teams and lost in2011, its a false positive.

IF you can't win against the big guns… Stay at home.

As for a true Home and away againts all teams, can't happen unless the play heaps more games .

some really good ideas there happy tiger and injuries have definately affected some teams more than others, especially the tigers.

24 games means you play 6 teams once, you miss 3 road trips and 3 home games, here's what we missed

At Home:
Cronulla
Manly
Cowboys

Away:
Broncos
Knights
Storm

4/5 of those teams are likely to make the 8, 3/4 will probably make up the top 4, in hindsight we probably got one of the best draws out of anyone. All 3 of our missed away games are outside of Sydney and in places where it's tough to win.

Wow….we got the top 4 teams only once....sheeeez

still, 50% there aint too bad

What were the odds of that? Consider that we played last years grand finalists twice, 2nd place in penriff we will play twice also Canberra who made the top 8\. If you go off last years results we got a terrible draw, but fortunately we've lucked out with the performances of teams this year.

to have the comp so its organised that every team plays eachother twice is simple really, start the season earlier and have all the games played at night. no day games to avoid the heat. most games are at night anyway so im sure the fans can hold off for a couple of weeks without sunday afternoon footy.

When you look at it like that, its just a simple case of us beating the teams around us. Our record against the teams up the top and down the bottom are pretty similar.

A couple of losses to the Warriors, Newcastle, or Penrith and our season would be on life support at the moment.
It just shows you how important those get out of gaol wins against all 3 sides this season have been.

If we had of lost 2 of those games, say the Warriors and Newcastle match, then we would of been 6 points away from 7th and battling it out between Penrith, Souths and Canturbury for the final 8th spot. It would be:

6th Warriors: 28
7th Newcastle: 26
8th Wests Tigers: 20
9th Penrith: 20
10th Canturbury: 20
11th Souths: 20
12th Cronulla: 18

Why dont you have a draw where everyone plays each other once, then at the end of 16 rounds the top 8 teams have to play the bottom 8 teams.

Makes the season slightly longer… but it's the best way IMO.

Thats a good graph Ink,

That LL to the biggest losers in the comp hurts heaps.

4 point to the dogs and that freak of a game to the Titans has killed us this year. Both were Attitude no shows IMO.

We would currently be in 30 points => Equal third.

The losses against Brisbane ,Storm and Saints were with sides that did not contain Lawrence ,Tuqiri,Ellis etc . And we kept most of those games close .

Then there would be an argument over home ground advantage.scrap the trials an play 30 rounds playing with each team playing each other twice home and away is the fairest fool proof way IMO

Although the scoreboard in the Dragons and Storm games were close we never really looked like winning them, they just grinded out the victory. The Broncos are the only team in the 8 who really blew us off the field.

this is off the point caus im new hear how do you write stuff on the roarfeed app
