For the EPL fans...

I'm starting a rally for "Mancini time!"

In all seriousness, the teams that impressed the most this year were Newcastle & Arsenal. Arsenal more so since they sold their midfield last year, had a shocking start to the season and an injury crisis and still managed to finish third.

Man United threw away an 8 point lead and they rightly deserved to not win the trophy after that. Hopefully Fergie will buy some quality young midfielders next year to support our strike power. Sick of watching Rooney drift back into the midfield to set himself up.

I'm happy to see anyone but United or Everton win the EPL. It's a great year when United go through a year without any silverware.

Arsenal are always a great team to watch. Very attractive football.

Almost as good as watching Liverpool capitulate again this year and finish 8th.

The view is mighty fine from the top of the ladder Chris.

Im glad you have a good view, you can watch us polish our newly acquired trophy this year. How's your 2012 trophy cabinet going?

 the Carling Cup? As someone once joked after it: "Liverpool have finally taken home a trophy after six years: The Carling Cup. That's a bit like being single for six years and then bringing home Susan Boyle."

Agree CB, Today is a dark day for the premier league. The Housos have the trophy.

I am disappointed with your comments Chris….lol

Look out - Man Utd to flex spending muscles…

Yes isn't good to see a sport that has no control over spending and 3 or 4 teams finish 20 points ahead of everyone else season after season Whats that saying "The rich are getting richer and the poor don't get the picture" 2015 can't come fast enough for the EPL with them looking at bringing in a type of salary cap

Yeah, and then you can forget about having the attracting and keeping the likes of Toure, Balotelli, Torres, Ronaldo, Suarez, Aguero, Nasri, Fabregas, RVP, Tevez in the EPL and it becomes a third tier competition in Europe.

I wonder what is more important to the Poms CB

Competing at a reasonable level at the international stage and developing the talent they have or lining the pockets of all these players you mentioned .

They do it with every sport and unless these players decide to become British citizens (as they do it in cricket) .

You must agree CB that they have to do something about it

People will eventually get bored at watching Man U playing Man City or Chelsea playing Arsenal every week because eventually only 5-6 sides will survive Not good for the World Game at its home in my opinion

Since 88-89, only Bayern Muenchen (12 times,) and Dortmund (4 times,) have won more than three Bundesliga titles, and only six clubs (Kasierslautern twice, Stuttgart twice, Bremen twice and Wolfsburg once,) have won the title. In the same period in the La Liga, Real have won the title 9 times, Barcelona 11 times, Valenica twice & Atletico Madrid and La Coruna once each. Serie A: A.C Milan 7 times, Juventus and Internazionale 6 times, and then Roma, Napoli, Lazio and Sampdoria have only won it once.

The salary cap only works in Australian football because our useless football administration couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. And even then, look at Sydney and the Victards… Both signed arguably the two best Australian international players of our generation as marquees and neither of them had the marked impact either side were hoping for. But even then, a trend is starting to emerge... Brisbane, FC and the Victards have won the trophy twice each and Newcastle picked it up once.

And Happy... I could never get sick of Man U raising the English silverware!

Didn't really answer the question I posed What's more important to The English Being stronger Internationally or having a lopsided local competition

Would imagine the FA would prefer the EPL has a strong brand that makes money, and attracts sponsors and fans worldwide. Do people stop supporting QPR or Bolton because they never win a title?

I answered your question with statistics to show that it happens in all the top flight European leagues. Most major leagues in Europe have large periods of domination by one or two clubs… Man United/Arsenal/Chelsea will have their time in the sun and then fall away, and others will step up in their place. I guarantee that as soon as Fergie moves on, Man United will have a Liverpool-esque fall from grace.

How long does Barton sit out for? I'll be shocked if he plays again this year. Absolutely disgraceful stuff, but I guess it added to the drama of the day.

Was a disgrace… You'd think he'd have the common decency to break one of Aguero's legs prior to walking off...

But then United win the league.
