Ahhh, another fellow Red  Yeah I have a few of those Liverpool mates.

A-League is the Australian competition, of which Sydney FC are the reigning premiers and putting on a fantastic title defence by up until last Sunday by running dead last :frowning:

I don't actually follow any wog ball teams but have entered a A-League tipping comp and at nearly the half way point of the season I've given up trying to pick winners unless they are obvious standouts and I now go for the draw.
What sort of game is this, sorry but I'm a WASP who will always love my Rugby League :deadhorse:

Everton fan here. The story behind it is I bought a Fifa game about 5-6 years back, started manager mode, went for a premier league team, and the big 4 weren't unlocked so I picked Everton. Stuck with them since.

As for the A-League, I guess if I had to pick a team it would be Sydney KFC (as they are known as in this household), but I wouldn't get to upset if they folded/ran last, and I wasn't doing backflips when they won the comp.

I just deleted a rant i was about to post but really its not worth it.
Lets just say that White Anglo Saxon People invented "wog ball" you knucklehead :brick:

In the EPL, Man U for these reasons 1) I know a lot of people who are mad keen on Liverpool to such a crazy extent that my vague support for Man U gets up their nose and 2) when I started paying attenion to English soccer back in the mid 80s Liverpool were winning everything and Man U hadn't won anything for donkeys.

My main team in England though is AFC Wimbledon. I followed the old Wimbledon when they were in the top flight mainly because they had such a dismal fan base compared to the other teams.

For the A-League I'd say the Mariners since I live on the coast but also don't mind Sydney FC

Liverpool because when I was about 6 or 7 I was living in Ashcroft and when I use to watch Liverpool on Big League Soccer on channel 7 I use to think it was the Liverpool in Sydney which is 5 minutes from Ashcroft. Back then I thought it was the local team so I started supporting them. Didnt realize till I was 8 or 9 that it was the Liverpool in the UK by then I was hooked big time. I still remember watching King Kenny back in the day as well as Rush, Barnes, Redknapp, Grobbler and the original Aussie Kopite Craig Johnstone! The best I have seen is God himself, Robbie Fowler.

Bill Shankley RIP!

Hard to say for me, I sort of had a few teams that I 1/2 went for.

Man U in the late 90s, I remember watching a few games when we first got Foxtel and a mate of mine in Primary School kept saying Arsenal was the best team, I only knew Man U so I said they're better (Lucky I picked them!).

Then there was Leeds when Kewell and Viduka were there, they had some very good players as well such as Woodgate, Mateo, Batty, Robinson and Martyn, when they got into trouble I followed them more to see if they would survive relegation.

Then there were the likes of Everton, Man City (Before they were rich), and Bolton that I followed, mainly because they were battlers with a couple of stars.

I followed Derby's rise in the Championship mainly because my mate and his family is from there, we were cheering when they were promoted… Then barely spoke about them as they won 1 game all season in the EPL.

I also follow the newly promoted teams as they are the underdogs.

In the A-League, ive always followed Sydney FC but, in Fifa 11 when I was their manager, they sacked me despite being mid ladder, mid season and on par with the objectives, so I moved to Brisbane Roar and now I follow them in the A-League as well... Sort of :stuck_out_tongue:

Had no interest in soccer at all, went to an A-League game about 4 years ago just to see what it was like. Since then i have been a Qld/Brisbane member and been to about 85% of home games. Love it and love how well Brisbane are going at the moment.

_we love it here on top of the aaaaaaaa-league
we love it here on top of the league
we're singing in the sun

laughing @ sydney scum??? how many a-league grandfinals have qld/brisbane roar won??? :-b

Too true alien. At least the Tards have won twice and have something to brag about. I will say the Brisbane Meow are playing some terrific football though.

Gold Coast & Nth Qld Fury are struggling to survive but and QLD may be back to a single club state in no time.

A league is not on my sporting radar. Its one rung above AfL.

Not Interested either.

Tigers, Man Utd and F1
