For What Exactly?

Maybe this has been said, Maybe it's been done already….
But I Just did a quick count up.

After Rd 13
last year-
We had 46 Tries put on us for 7 Wins....
This Year-
42 Tries for 4 Wins...

This is with having Farah, Tedesco, Sironen and others out at the start of last year....
Barely any notable injuries this year.

Taylor is full of crap, We are by far a worse team!!
and the way we are going will have more tries put on us this year than we did last.

I can't wait for his excuses....

It was the 2nd half of last season that let us down, not the first. We had 60 tries scored against in that time. If that happens again then Taylor has a lot to answer for, no doubt.

Our roster was better last year imo - we had Austin adding creativity, a year younger Galloway and Richards, Thompson and Blair up front plus Gavet for a few of the first games too.

Bit early to be sticking the boot in. That said, if we lose this week to this Souths n the same way we have in previous weeks, I'll eat my words.

Lets not forget we had a lot of injuries at this time, were playing slow backrowers on the wing because we simply had no one else.

Then there was that little fact where the team was trying to get the coach sacked and played with no heart or passion.

The original posters stats paints through some of Taylors bluff.

We have had a much healthier team this year overall. Also a A softer draw with many winnable games.

And yet only 4 less tries conceeded overall, and 3 less wins. So really thre have been minimal improvement defensively.

Taylor knows the stats a the back end of the season and will use them to his advantage. Thats all he has at the minute stats. Forget the fact that last year in the last 8 rounds we had Akoula a back rower playing on the wing, guys like Rowe playing every week. Potter barely had 17 players in the club to run out.

The real stat is 10 wins from last year, and Taylor and the troops probably wont get near that the way they are going at the minute.

Correct but we had a hell lot more injuries, thats why potter failed

He has already done this, he asked for people to judge him on the back end of the season and compare it to last year.Even mentioned how many tries we let in in the back halfof the year as a justification of our poor defense. Was on the 9 minutes of spin club video after the Cowboys game

Just had a look at some of the teams from late last year

Rowe and Jy Hitchcock at fullback in certain games

Cory Patterson and Akoula (back rowers) on the wing !!

Austin in the centres.

Potter didn't have a hope in hell.

So far this is correct.

I think we are all happy to be wrong. I'd love to be wrong.

I'm glad though that a lot of supporters are seeing through his spin.

- I love the "defence against cowboys" game spin…
Ragging about defending well against a team using it's 4-5th choice halves (if not 5-6th) how hard would it have been to defend against?

Love to see what yesterday's thurston would have done to that team at campbelltown - but our defence is improving....

Taylor's lack of attacking football in his coaching methods makes me wonder whether in his first grade playing days was known for his attacking skills or was he selected mainly for his kicking prowess?

Taylor was a good player who could have been a great player if he was half a yard faster. Unfortunately for us that does not mean he is a good coach who could be a great coach with a few better players!

Taylor was a good footballer. No need to pull him down. He was tough as well…pretty sure he had the record for most consecutive games at one stage which was a big effort when he had blokes 3 times his size running at him week after week.

Yes, he was a good footballer. So was Terry Lamb. So was Wayne Pearce and so many others who didn't make it as a coach.

Who cares?

So far, he seems to be a dud NRL coach. And, one who will challenge (long term) members whether they want to keep putting their hard earned $$ to be part of his plans.

That's what Marina Go et al need to be aware of.

Taylor was lucky enough to have coaches that could develop structures that protected him in defence.Hopefully he can return the favour & use a structure that can protect Moses & Brooks & help them with longevity in the game.
