Former Keebra Park boy Henare Wells at fullback for Roosters

Hey dudes and dudettes,

Just thought some of you might like to know that the Toyota Cup match on shortly will feature a kid that was a part of the Keebra Park side that BMM and Robert Lui came out of will be getting a game with the Roosters today. Henare Wells is his name and he is just about the fastest thing I've ever seen on two legs.

He didn't look that fast to me when in last years schoolboy Tests…the Great Britain schoolboys centre easily ran around him and scored a try.

Yeah it looks like he has grown a foot since I saw him in Arrive Alive cup and as a result his speed has been affected. Still looks good though.

Wells scored 6 tries on the weekend for Burleigh Bears of a total of 10\. 3 were scored by Anthony Don. John Cartwright is a moron of the highest order. He still has Zillman at fullback when he has those two, as well as James Roberts and David Mead who all run rings around him as fullbacks. Wells and Don should both be playing NRL every week somewhere.

Im thinking Don could be a good replacement for koro.Certainly has his rare pace.

Don would have to be the worst winger in fg. He is the most in coordinated player I've seen!

I'll give you that Anthony has had one or two true shockers last year but he's been very solid this year and most of the time doesn't put a foot wrong. The Titans fans on their fan forum can't work out why he's been dropped and some think he's been among their best performers this year.

Great to hear he's been re-signed by them. He's a great story considering he didn't come through the regular junior pathways and instead was scouted by Burleigh out of the Northern Rivers comp while playing fullback for Grafton in his mid twenties. Did you know he's the grandson of the legendary Ron Willey?
