So i got this idea from the SC Addicts page on FB. They've added a new feature where they have a weekly podcast. If they can do it, i know there would be enough tech savvy members who could do one here.

What do you think?

Maybe do a show once or twice a week, leading into games, and reviewing after full time. Maybe something on a Monday or Thursday?

It could put a voice to some users, and you could learn a lot more about posters through conversation.

Just putting it out there, i think it could be pretty innovative if we have users with the knowledge of how to get it up and running.

I remember former WTs media and forum member Westie, his bro magpie nick and another doing a you tube weekly round preview or something similar…need to be confident speakers/conversationalists...reading doesnt cut it

Yep, Roarcast, did it for a couple of years.

Lots of fun! We even had WT officials come on it for interviews.
But very time consuming. Concord employs a few media people for stuff like this, it's hard it to pump out weekly stuff when the listener base is pretty low.

If people want to do something then I'm happy to assist in setting it up and hosting it on this site.

I remember I did one episode of Roarcast with Geo, Kul and Willow and the amount of time & effort Kul had to go to cut it all together was pretty involved (at least to someone less tech savvy like myself!)

Good idea.
Liverpool have a member supporters group called the redmen, and they do a videoshow.

You could just have a group skype call, then record it, and upload that as the podcast.

I think it's a great idea but at the same time understand it is a lot of work and a big commitment…for someone who isn't me!!
Didn't know about roarcast. Would've listened if I'd known.

Would a Skype call make things easier? Would make it easier for posters to appear i'd be guessing.

We use to do it on Skype …but you need to record each persons file then send all the files to one person who then needs to splice it together and produce the podcast takes about 12-13 hrs work.... for around a 30min episode....

We produced around 25 episodes of Roar cast.....

As Kul suggested perhaps you could contact Dan or Brett in Wests Tigers media to see if they can help...
