Fox are reporting that Victoria are bidding for a Sunday stand alone SOO game next season at the MCG

Ok Hap and Watto,cut the Qld v NSW, Ribot stuff for a minute and think how much would a SOO game in Melbourne make in dollars and how many new fans of rugby league would you get from the Vics,these are the questions I would be asking…the MCG holds about 100,000 I think,if we got half that amount through good marketing and promotion,wouldn't that be a good thing...it is still a Qld v NSW stoush ,played on a neutral ground and state but with the challenge of getting new fans and supporters of rugby league..
