What the hell is it with Fox commentary team. Hardly a word of praise for the team's efforts today and the scale of their victory was totally underplayed. Instead we have to listen to Ennis and co continually referring to Brisbane's mistakes/ Payne Hass courage! / that the so called "better team for most of the match" couldn't get it done. Spare me please. Hardly a word of congratulations for a team which has really struggled to make head way this season. It's clear to me that today's match didn't at all go to script for Fox ( and Channel 9 for that matter ) and no amount of referee interjections in favour of the Broncos could help overcome their incompetence.
The media bias against Wests Tigers was clearly on display today and I can only imagine what would be the commentary led by Ennis/Cronk/Anasta et al had the final scoreline been Wests Tigers 24 Brisbane Broncos 42 !!!!!
Congratulations boys on a hard earned and well deserved win. But it is only small step needed towards a bigger effort next week V Manly.

As far as broadcasters, there are very few worth listening to and the so called 'analysts' are even worse.

For broadcasters, Warren Smith gives me 'entertainment' value watching a game but that's about all. He lives it up for TV. You can include Rabs 'Ive overstayed my welcome by 20 years' Warren, and all the others in this.....they are garbage.

Phil Gould might be in everyone elses wank-bank, but does nothing for me. Flips and flops and usually by the end of the game he tells you how he tipped the upset at the start of the game because he read the body language. What a tool.

Analysts - Anasta, Cronk, Ennis and the rest. I respect them because they made it to firsts, but that's where it stops. Laurie Daley is a classic example. Great player, ran over and around me many times in rep games as juniors, but the bloke needs to just STFU. Andrew Johns - greatest player I've seen in my lifetime by STFU x 100!

Great players do not translate to great analysts. The adage of 'Ive played the game at the highest level so I know best is complete BS.' Some of the current coaches, who could barely scratch into grade are great examples. I've heard old guys at the pub talk more sense with 3 schooners in them than any one on TV.

Matty Johns is the same. Thinks he knows everyone, friends with everyone, is Mr Knowledge. Just face it, he is an occasional funny presenter and that's it. Hindmarsh and Fletch the same.

I vomitted in my own mouth when I heard Rothfield on radio this week claim he single handedly organised the Bulldogs signing Phil Gould. FMD!

So the moral of my rant is....... it's Tv. Take it for what it is. Light entertainment. If you want a genuine assessment of the game, turn the sound down and think about it yourself or go to the match. Otherwise these so called personalities and analysts are just paid to be clickbait and get a light giggle, nothing more.
