So many holes need filling in our roster and we do not have the room to do it. No wonder we’ve only got a handful of guys signed for 2022

And we’re looking even more unattractive every game we play ...
( for potential new recruits)

We need more Luciano type signings. Guys who just want a shot and end up killing it.

We can score points inside the 20 we just suck at getting down there!

Even Lucy has gone backwards imo
And he’s another player I like @Geo

It’s not so much as “getting down there” that’s is my issue ..

What kills me is the basic errors and dumb plays ...

But mostly it’s our Defence that totally sucks ...

Why can’t they slide ?

I don’t think he teaches an up and in style. We’ve shown we can slide and defend really well when everyone puts an effort in. We’ve had the same defensive coach for ages and Madge is apparently booting him which is a good start.

They why does every player rush out of the line if you say Madge wants them to slide ?

Because they are stupid. You can't coach brains into statues.

Looking at stats Garner needs to go. 7 runs for 39m not even 6m a run very poor. He takes hit ups in slow motion arm grabs in defence when players are running at speed cannot have him in pack anymore liability.

The stats tell a story of exactly our problem.
Our forwards outside of Josh, Lucy & Mus aren’t up to it.

Our halves just didn’t get people involved.

Reynolds was terrible and should ever wear a fiest grade jersey again with us.

I think it’s about time Harry Grant ran a tackling clinic. How many times did he tackle Solomona?
Regarding line speed? I think that will come when the players start respecting each other.

Our best defender comes from Storm. That’s why they finish top 2 last five years. We cannot defend poor reads arm grabbing etc that’s why we finish 9th every year. In the past years it was top five with less teams obviously but more teams in competition now less quality of players spread across the board. Unfortunately we have a few quality players but have an abundance of below average players. We are great at buying players past their peak or pick up players that other clubs try to offload.

Agreed, the reason we are leaking huge points (and head starts) the past 3 weeks is the total lack of line speed. Souths just played high energy last week until they got the breakthrough, then the floodgates opened periodically. We always seem to arrest the momentum back and at times look very threatening, but it's all too late when you have to invest the new energy to get back into the match.

Even against Storm it was there for the taking, down by 6 and then by 10 when the match had almost totally bolted, but we just couldn't maintain line speed and stick in defence, and unlike previous 2 weeks, Storm know how to steady the ship and put us right away.

But I don't understand, for a team that seems to have plenty of running in the Q4 of most games, how we fail to have any linespeed early in the game.
