Thumbs down for me … Don't we have someone coming through our lower grades ?

no we dont have any strike forwards coming , all are small, but full of talent, but no big fellos.
we really need to buy size, and power, they need to look out side the box. target some young union back rowers, who have also played league.
it has again worked for the storm in harris,

Matty Groat is huge, powerful and fast. Got smashed illegally by that grub Teo, which set him back somewhat.

Seems to be getting his mojo back and deserves another crack in firsts.

at the expense of who? blair and anasta wont be dropped. sue, ava, buchanan, woods all going good. with blair moved to prop, for once we do have quite a few props in our 17.

8\. woods
10\. blair
11\. fulton
12\. thompson (maybe he could be dropped)
13\. anasta

sue, ava, buchanan, eddy

Based on the actual data, we have a number of big young props in FG, NSW Cup and NYC:

Seumanufagai
Date of Birth: 3 June, 1991
Height: 189 cm
Weight: 110 kg

Groat
Date of Birth: 4 March, 1992
Height: 190 cm
Weight: 113 kg

Gavet
Date of Birth: 19 October 1989
Height 186 cm
Weight 108 kg

Paasi
Date of Birth: 23 Nov 1992
Height: 180 cm.
Weight: 104 kg

Brown
Date of Birth: 1 March, 1993
Height: 185 cm
Weight: 107 kg

Szczudlo
Date of Birth: 9 January, 1993
Height: 200 cm
Weight: 112 kg

Regarding experienced big props, we have only Galloway and Bell, IMHO, what we need is another experienced big prop like Nigel Plum or Martin Kennedy.

Would take Nigel Plum in a heartbeat. He is one of the best hitters in the NRL. He has been underrated for a long time, but I think this year people are starting to take notice of his abilities.

Groat
Date of Birth: 4 March, 1992
Height: 190 cm
Weight: 113 kg

Wow, didn't realise he was that big.

There has been talk Groat has been told he's not wanted next year,
Some one mentioned he's going to follow Miller over to ESL.
Wait and see, I guess…

I'd have Groat over Plum any day. Seen Plum have too many below average games. Groat is still young and raw but surely this is the season to blood them. Give them 1 or 2 games in first grade and send them back. The coach gets an idea where they are at.

Jeez, another career reserve grader discarded & were interested..havent we learnt anything??
Lazy, bad hands & poor discilpline are the reasons why Frank hasnt made it elsewhere..& same reasons why we shouldnt show any interest.
Either buy quality and/or develop the kids
We deserve better than the Franks & Eddies of this world..cheap solutions wont solve complex problems

Agree, we seem to pick these guys up thinking we can change them, a bit like chicks think they can change us guys, your wasting your time!!!! :righton:

Why would Plum come back to the Tigers when we told him he wasn't of first grade standard so should look for opportunities elsewhere? Would be a solid squaddie, but don't see him leaving the panthers.

I don't think he ever played for the tigers so not sure what you mean. Are you implying he came to us for a contract at some point?

Plum's re-signed so forget it. And forget FPN too. We need to rotate the young props
We have and see how they all go. Buchanan wasnt in anyones books a few moths ago and he has gone pretty well.

Rotate Ava, Groat, Buchanan, and Gavet in FG for the remainder of the season and see who steps up.

Still rate Martin Kennedy as a real good prospect and would love to see him in a Tigers jersey.

I thought the debutant Dylan Napa had a decent game. Loved his aggression.
