Frank paul nuuausala

@razor7,he may lack what we need in the backrow, however I think his experience in a young side could be valuable..
:sign:

would u take him to the battlefield with you?
Granted he's not a natural 5-8 on the field - few among them would share the same passion & intensity 4 his club. Rooster 4 life. Cause in the end u can't take the rooster out of the man unless a miracle happens @ WT's.

We need a workaholic backrower/lock who can still punch a hole and get through plenty of work and minutes. Trent Merrin, Shaun Fensom, Gavin Cooper, Ethan Lowe, Adam Docker, Paul Carter, Ben Matulino, Wade Graham . Most are probably under contract but they are the sort of players we help our defence and make a difference in attack.

Heighno would be a better addition than FPN. At least you know he'll tackle all game and make you 100+ metres.

We haven't had a damaging back rower since Ellis.

I think Santi and Halatau may take over Fultons role next year but off the bench. Akoula is a prospect for a damaging back rower but he is very very raw. His best asset is meeting the line at speed. He gets caught out in defence a lot and doesn't read well. He has potential but he needs to focus on defence and his ball handling and he will be a much better player.

If I was the coach I would be throwing the kitchen sink at Merrin and trying to offload Blair and Galloway. I would even consider moving Taupau to the edge in a Taumalolo type role.

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Lodge
11\. Sironen
12\. Thompson
13\. Merrin

14\. Seumanufagai
15\. Sue
16\. Taupau
17\. Akaola

Balmain Boy is spot on. He's not really the type of back rower we need plus he would cost a bit. The Fulton clone comment is right on the money

What I DO like about FPN compared to Fulton is his size and aggression in bending the line and when he hits you you remain hit.Light years difference in workrate but apart from that I think another big body will suit this forward pack handsomely.Pretty sure we have a Fulton clone already on the roster his name is Brendan Santi.

Fulton could run decent lines. He wasn't the straight out defensive workhorse everyone made him out to be. Punched well above his weight in his position.

I suppose you have to take what's left on the market

Hopefully they can put some serious size on Santi ,use him as the workhorse and then use FPN as a strike weapon

If you look at many of the sides in 2014 they seemed to be leaning to having at least two big back rowers on the bench

Souths had McQueen and Teo
Cowboys had Hall ,Sims and Lowe
Manly had two most weeks
Roosters had Aubusson and a mixture of blokes

Maybe the effects of the speed of the game meant teams need bigger more mobile defenders that can move better laterally

Wow @ the idea of Docker coming to the tigers, I wish.
He is a rig.
Gun player.
If only….

FPN would be a solid buy.
Can't understand the hate.

Didn't he take a pay cut to stay at the roosters?

I'm not overly excited about us signing FPN - he's pretty similar to what we already have in spades, imo. That said, he is a solid first grader, who has been part of a winning culture for several seasons and I suppose that at this late stage with bugger all talent left on the market, he is a handy acquisition.

Better than Gavet IMO

Perhaps, but probably not for the money we'll be looking to pay him. Gavet would be far better value.

Sure but "value" is relative isn't it? If we're paying 150k a year for a few games and 6/10 ratings or we are paying 250k for a full season and 8/10 rating…....rather the later

Think FPN will be a really good signing.

He runs hard, has come from a winning culture, has almost 200 games experience at only 27 and here is a bloke who started for a Roosters team almost all year a team featuring SBW, Guerra and Cordner as back row comeptition.

People say he isn't a hard worker but he averaged 20 tackles a game in only 40 mins on the field - thats the equivalent of an 80 min backrower making 40 tackles which is great.

He also has a coach who clearly will believe in him and a fresh start which is always good for players.

He will I would guess play out on the right side for us with Blair in the middle and Siro on the left

He has some intimidating size and we can certainly do with another big body.
