Wests Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys is under pressure after an off-season of turmoil at the club.

WESTS Tigers CEO Stephen Humphreys has been placed on notice as the club struggles to overcome a difficult summer off the field.

News Limited has learned Tigers board members recently spoke to Humphreys about several shortcomings in the joint-venture's performance.

The board - riven with factional differences - is particularly disappointed by the delay in extending skipper Robbie Farah's contract.

Angst also continues over the fact sacked coach Tim Sheens continues to be paid in full, despite being dismissed in favour of Mick Potter almost six months ago. It's understood Sheens still invoices the club.

Humphreys considered resigning amid the turmoil of Sheens' departure last October, at the same time popular pair Beau Ryan and Chris Heighington left for Cronulla.

The situation placed a tremendous strain on Humphreys, who operates under one of the competition's most dysfunctional and antiquated board structures. But he decided to bat on, with former Sea Eagles CEO Grant Mayer hired to strengthen the commercial department.

I am more worried about this bloke coming on board the WT boat. Ex-Manly and Cronulla officials should be treated like lepers at the moment by any team hoping to keep their nose clean.

On Facebook a guy posted and tagged Wests Tigers page that he saw Farah at a Parramatta function at ANZ stadium before the Bulldogs vs Parra game… Can anyone confirm this? If true that's a bit of a worry...

Pretty poor form from Robbie if true. Then again he does seem to like the limelight and associated drama….just like when he did the fly-in fly-out tour of the Gold Coast a few years back.

Give me a bloke that just wants to play hard-core footy on the paddock and shuts his mouth off it any day. WT have a history of drama-queens and media ladies-of-the-night in our sides of late, time to bring in a few more quiet, consistent performers. (I am not stating that Robbie isn't a whole-hearted player for us, I am just sick of the soap operas that surround our club and it's players constantly). :sign:

We are rebuilding, and need younger players with something to prove and fire in their belly. Not older players who have had their day.

And agree entirely with Happy's sentiments.

No thanks to Frank.

I think we need a mix of both…too many youngsters is a recipe for disaster.
You need some old heads

Dunno about Frank though...would rather Corey someone, ex knights (not Paine or Parker), hes killing it in ESL...just forget his damn name

Corey Patterson, good player, but part of the Mundine clan that I wouldn't touch with a 20 foot pole.

I would… if they would let me sharpen it, or maybe just run a few thousand volts though the end of it...

Patterson had a well documented battle with depression. No idea what his situation is or was but maybe its doing him good being on the other side of the world

Hmmmm….dont know and / or remember his history

Had depression, and turned to religion (Islam IIRC, got tips from El-Masri on how to combat fatigue when Ramadan overlapped with the RL season?)

I thought Frank Pritchard had a good game tonight and could be a good signing for us.

He'll do bugger all for us if signed. He's a lazy player.+

Exactly! He'd just become Adam Blair Mk II here. I would much rather we chase Eastwood - at least we would know he'd give his best effort in every game.

The June 30 deadline is getting close. Does anybody know whether Wests Tigers are ever going to buy the elusive (prop) forward that's been discussed on this forum for the past months?
