From bad to worse who's running the show

We're a club that is a shambles. Tough decisions had to be made to turn things around and are getting made. I'm only seeing positives at the moment.

I can see the possible positives for 2016 and beyond, but I want something positive for next season! As far as I'm concerned it's the only season that really matters right now - I live in the present, not the future.

That's fair enough, losing sucks. But I'm confidant the guys we got can perform like we did up to round 16 this year. A better go with injuries and better leadership can see us having a good year.

I'm sure our top 17 will do their best to give a good account of themselves too, but injuries are inevitable and our lack of quality depth is alarming. Our lack of depth was evident enough last season and now we've just ditched about a half a dozen of last year's squad and bought only one fringe first grader - not looking too flash, imo, but I guess we'll wait and see.

Yeah well wait and see. If next season is crap then I'll be depressed then. For the time being I'm enthusiastic.

Performing up to round 16 wasn't the problem for us, it was the last ten rounds where we went to water.

All I know is this

In the future I want the Tigers to live by the John West slogan

"Its the players that the Wests Tigers reject that makes the Wests Tigers the best "

Might make that my new signature actually

Mad Unit. Serious question- forget the poor quality, do we actually have enough players to fill the 17 man match squads for NRL and NSW Cup ? A stack of players have gone, hardly any new ones, with a few to come up from U20's. The fans have a right to be concerned

if that's your concern, then the 3 players we left were not going to have much impact on that situation were they now?

The fans need, require and demand a consistently successful club, not one hit wonders.

You need a few years you clean out the players not earning their keep, sort out the front office, change the culture, instill a properly functioning game plan/strategy and reinvesting in club juniors. None of this happens in an off season. In fact a lot of it would take a few years. I see 2015 as the last season of that change. I expect the team will be performing better than in 2014 which is worth looking forward to, but 2016 is when we should realistically should be pursuing the first of many finals campaigns.

Leave it all to Taylor, let the coach has his way. He should be be able to keep and buy what he wants. Please leave him alone, you are not the coach as the saying "too many cooks spoilt the soup".

Very apt. There has been for some time a lot of fishy things going on with Wests Tigers.

What is do special about Moses that another proven 1st grade 5/8 (Austin) must be released for him?

If we had signed Gavet Thompson Blair and Austin we would have been thinking great name signings.

Like even this example annoys me

Gerard Beale has just signed with the Sharks

Gerard Beale is better than any centre we have around , yet he goes to Cronulla

If we don't sign anyone before the 2015 season starts , it proves to me that players don't want to come to the WT's period

And it also means that all of the off field changes could mean absolutely nothing

With all this cleanout I'm sure everyone is expecting some big signings for the 2016 Season? With JT stating that don't expect signings for 2015 season right?
Also Moltzen will be doomed after next year.
Future looking bright

Yeah the off field changes were all about making sure the Wests group didn't take majority control so called ideas new management will improve things were just a smokescreen.

Re Austin and Moses do people here believe Moses a better player now? And we need better players now not potential.

Yes I think Moses is a better player than Austin,Austin has energy, but no idea how to set up his outside backs, his kicking game is not flash,Moses has him covered on both fronts, and is going to get better.
Austin may be slightly ahead on defence, but if I had to choose now,it is a no brainer to me,Ricky will find this out though.

How long can we keep trotting out :
1 We're in a re building phase
2 We've got great juniors
The NRL is a tough, hard competition. What we currently have on the books will not be competitive in 2015 ( and I hope I'm wrong). When will this version of points 1 & 2 above come to fruition ? I have fears that many of our young , inexperienced players will take a hammering this season. Unless we make some key signings we are in for another tough year. 13th spot may be hard to achieve. While Happy Tiger is copping a bit for being negative, much of what he says is spot on.
