At the end of the day Sheens decided to let a guy with an x-factor over a guy who has yet to prove anything at fg level. I know i've been hard on Groat and everyone uses the excuse that he came into grade under difficult circumstances, but so has Buchanan and he's has looked 10 times the player Groat ever has
I'm not a huge fan of Groat, but don't forget Groat got absolutley smashed by someone (teo, Hargraves?? Can;t Remember) It was a real bell ringer. Even a season prop would have been shaken up, it was sickening. He did come in under alot of pressure, and went well for a bit until the bigger, older fellas found his underbelly, and then they kept attacking him. That was the start of the downward spiral for him. Like Utai, he too short and is easily out jumped. Fine the weakness and keep at it until they break.
Groat has had a good pre-season i've herad and has another year of game time under him, I hope he come back and smashes it. Like anyone, if he gets through 1-2 games with confidence intact and playe really well, you won't be able to stop him. All us fans gets to hang on for the ride. Give it your all big fella!!!

He isnt afraid of collision, runs straight and hard, and could complement our pack as it is quite well. For mine he is the kind of prop you want to start and set a platform for the likes of Woods and Buchannen after the contest has settled. Every pack has a few stand-outs, and while Groat may not be one of them he seems the kind of corner-stone prop that every team needs.
I cannot wait to see him back, and hope he finds his groove and flourishes.
