The scoop on the NSW team for State of Origin III

DRAGONS workhorse Beau Scott and Penrith's electrifying centre Michael Jennings are late scratchings from the NSW Origin side for the series-deciding blockbuster.
Despite all players, coaching staff and Blues officials being sworn to secrecy over the final 17-man squad, The Daily Telegraph can reveal both Jennings and Scott succumbed to injuries several days ago.
When I approached Blues media manager Tristan Hay for confirmation of the team last night, he replied: "No comment from us. Ricky doesn't care if you've been leaked the team.
"Our policy has been to keep it to ourselves.
"To be honest, he's surprised it's lasted this long."
Stuart has conducted the Blues' training sessions in strict privacy this campaign to keep the final make-up of the side under wraps - until The Daily Telegraph secured details from outside the camp.
The tactic was to keep Mal Meninga and his Maroons guessing until one hour before kick-off when the official line-ups have to be released.
Stuart even took the team to Queensland's rugby union headquarters at Ballymore yesterday instead of Suncorp, only to be sprung when the Queensland Reds conducted a press conference for this weekend's Super 15 final and journalists saw part of what was supposed to be a closed session.
With Jennings still not recovered from the ankle injury he suffered in Origin I, Parramatta superstar Jarryd Hayne will start in the centres with St George-Illawarra's Brett Morris taking Hayne's spot on the wing. In the forwards, Manly backrower Glenn Stewart is expected to start alongside Ben Creagh in the second row.
This would leave Wests Tigers tearaway Keith Galloway to join Kurt Gidley, Anthony Watmough and Luke Lewis on the bench.
NSW: A Minichiello, B Morris, J Hayne, M Gasnier, A Uate, J Soward, M Pearce, G Bird, G Stewart, B Creagh, T Mannah, M Ennis, P Gallen. Interchange: K Gidley, K Galloway, L Lewis, A Watmough.
The 17 players have been training together as a group since Monday morning, knowing Scott was a million-to-one, while it was always highly unlikely Jennings would start. Scott underwent tests not long after the team arrived and they revealed he has an enlarged spleen . He was immediately stood down.
Scott's fierce defence and his ability to play 80 minutes will be missed by the Blues although Stewart can also play big minutes and has been in absolutely sensational form for Manly.
Hayne will be under the spotlight like never before in tonight's game when he lines up against the champion Queenslander Justin Hodges.
fullback, winger and even described as best suited to five-eighth by Ricky Stuart six weeks ago, Hayne will be playing centres for the first time in Origin football.
But he once filled in for Mark Gasnier in the centres in a Test match against the Kiwis in 2007 when the Dragons star was bashed out of the game by Steve Matai.
Stuart has no doubt Hayne can handle the positional switch.
"Jarryd Hayne has got the skill and the class to play anywhere.
"We know what he's done at fullback, we've seen him on the wing and I'm on record as saying he'd make a great five-eighth. I was coaching the Kangaroos when he played almost the full Test match in the centres and he handled it great."
