Galloway

I have no problem with Galloway's work rate and he runs the ball straight early in the tackle count. I just don't like him
Being used as the try scorer when we are close to the line. Someone like BMM does that better (as long as he holds the ball). He more easily moves forward with blokes on his back

I agree with particularly at the moment given he is coming back from a long term injury. Siro and BMM (and possibly Ava) would be far more effective than any of our props close to the opposition line.

Cant believe the dribble i have just read on this thread…. If he is as bad as u guys make out, why did he run the most metres out of the props on both sides, against the pack every one rates as the biggest... and with a back rower next to him and a couple of pups rotating off the bench....
Running hard at the line is pointless if u cant penetrate it and Galloway can...
and further more he has came back 6 weeks early from a season ending injury in a dead rubber situation for no other reason but to put some pride back in the jersey... He could of just sat out and worried about next year like the rest are doing...

Agree what more do you want from the guy haha. You want him to burn some outside backs and make more line breaks ??

Does almost all the dirty work hit-ups like when you don't want your runner to get driven back, early in the set etc, and doe it well even not fully fit. Plus his defence, we are much better at stopping the big opposition when he is in the line. Mostly on his own - with Fulton, we'd have been stuffed last night without them (look at what happened when Fulton left the field).

Check the metres run last night, we were basically the same as Souths, one of the most dominant in the game!

x4

He makes > 100m and > 30 tackles, what more can you ask of a prop? Who are his prop supports at the moment? Blair? Ava? Buchanan? Spence?

Galloway is playing a lone hand, much like poor Woodsie earlier in the year. It's hard to dominate when you always take the first hit-up and the opposition line is always set. Our PTB speed is ordinary and Galloway is no speedster, of course he's gonna get dominated sometimes when nobody else is making proper yards and Souths manage 4 men into the tackle.

I say it again though: over 100 m.

Give him a break, he's been out for most of the season. What do you expect from someone who's seen little game time this year.

PL

The good news for 2014 is just about every position will be under pressure from the young guns. And no Sheens to make 5 changes to cover an injury on game day. Lets hope Potter looks to 2015 and not 2014 and bloods the young guys but in a sensible way.

I think he's doing ok all things considered given he's come back from a pec tear within a season. Looking forward to seeing him and Woods get us rolling forward next year.

True and with our gun prop recruit Martin Taupau what a player we signed. We have big props for next year.
