Galloway

He will be missed. I thought he was practically the cornerstone of our forward pack and he was playing very well against the Panthers before injury struck. Hopefully he recovers well as according to reports he was shattered.

I simply cannot believe how unlucky we are with injuries! It's always our most crucial players that go down for long periods, meanwhile the Storm roll on unaffected, as per usual - Grrrr!

Well that just sucks. At least he may be able to make a return this season.

Fingers crossed someone can step up in his role as its a tough one in this side.

We never get luck with injuries get well soon so when were charging for the premiership he will be ready to go. The mole said we might be after a prop now his injuried

Going on the tigers normal injury estimates in previous years it sounds like he got the same diagnosis as Coote.

Shattered for Keith and our team.

We are in massive trouble if he's gone for the season.

Sorry but the guy is a liability, he always gets injured every year….

Go and look at our win loss record without him then tell me the same thing with a straight face.

Haha the guy as someone quoted is great but too injury prone 6 games per year??? Im sorry but dont we usually miss the 8 or struggle with exhaustion at the end of the year by a few points?
My face is straight as ever….

I think he always misses at least 6 weeks every year, so did Ellis. he is a massive loss was our best player yesterday until he got injured, I hope we get another Prop to replace him and logic takes place unlike Sheens former logic

I disagree with you, I'm sure I don't know what all the hype is over Galloway, to me he has very little impact, we had much more go forward yesterday when B M-M & Pettybourne came on the field. :exclamation: Just my impression 😕

Finally someone with some sense! The guys a big soft ginger teddy bear always injured and looks good because we dint have any other big boys

I just can't get over what lousy luck this is for Keith and the team. Coming on top of all the other props we have lost its getting a bit scary. Someone get on the phone to Danny Galea; we might need him to play prop again.

Other positions we could cover, but props? We seem to be struggling for size. Do we have any big boppers in the lower grades that would cope with 1st grade. Payten has a good feel for who would be good, maybe check with him.

Too many pec tears are happening. Time for the coaching staff to re-assess the limits on weight lifting.

I tore my pec in the gym years ago. I couldn't touch weights for a year. They never used to get them in League, but they reckon it's the wrestling in tackles that's causing it.

I don't agree - both on the weekend were a result of being struck on the extension of the arm whilst attempting a tackle. Nothing to do with wrestling.

I was reading an interesting article on SMH yesterday, about cancer clusters:
http://www.smh.com.au/lifestyle/cancer-clusters-20130309-2frwd.html

It basically says that sometimes medical conditions spontaneously occur in groups, clustering, as any truly random system will experience. There isn't a root cause simply because there is a larger number of instances of some particular injury. Yes, it should be investigated, but often a root cause is impossible to discern.

For example, I could argue that, because there were two pec injuries on Sunday in a single match, something about that particular match increased the chances of pec tears. Perhaps it was the heat, or the Campbelltown air, or the introduction of the new video ref protocols?

That campbelltown air IS pretty dodgy…

Exactly, unless they do a proper analysis this might not happen again for a year and then it will all revert to the mean.

Pec tears have been increasing for years now. Its not isolated. I remember a year or two ago some specialists were contacted by the media and mentioned it was likely the change in training techniques and increase in wrestling in the game/training.
