Galvin given a rest as the club tries to keep him at Concord with a fresh deal. - SMH piece.

I don't see it happening. Very much thinking we will end up like Cleary's first year, a team that could make it but is disjointed.

Storm, Penrith, Raiders, Broncos, Sharks, Sea eagles seem to have it together in a top 6. Bulldogs, knights?, Rabbits, Roosters??, St george and maybe others will duke it out for 7-8th.

It would be a hell of an achievement to see us make the 8, even with kind injuries (Forward pack anyone?)
Dropping that round 1 game v Knights will certainly hurt us but if we pick up all remaining games like that and spring a couple of upsets as well, we'll be right in that fight.
If Manly lose Cherry and Turbo for extended periods, theyll struggle.
Rabbits cant keep playing on emotion, their bubble will burst and when it does, theyll struggle.
Same goes for the Roosters.
Bulldogs just copped key injuries to Burton and Kikau.
Knights need Ponga fit all year - that never occurs.
Saints are our equal, theyll lose a few.
Broncs, Sharks, Warriors all have the same weaknesses as usual - good prep can upset them.
Its round 3 mate...weve got a good chance.

Thinking about it...

If Glavin is under that much stress he has gone "I am conflicted".
He wants to stay.
He also wants to develop his career and make a different decision.

Conflicting views, create pressure. A coach like Wayne Bennett would sort him out quickly, Sheens too.

All this means is he "May" be staying. Naturally if he stays and we suck again... He will walk.

It might not be about the money for Galvin , but it certainly is about the money for his manager and his commission.
Yeah, but I think he's got enough people around him that would be aware of that. If you're a smart manager he'd know that he would get the pay day eventually and looking after his client's best interest should come first.
