How is everyone feeling?

I been nervous since watching the 2nd half of last nights footy. I think it reminded me how important this game is and we are so close to another grand final.

I said after last week ill be happy win or lose in tonights game but if we lose I know I am going to be really gutted. I already have grand final tickets and I know watching Dragons vs Roosters isnt going to excite me to much.

Come on boys lets beat the dragons. I dont care if its the most ugly performance ever. I just want a win even if it means a stressful ending like the last 2 weeks and most of 2010.

I want revenge against the Roosters. I want another premiership!

very nervous. i got a few hours sleep after watching easts win and havent been able to sleep since. so i watched the 2005 semi against st.choke which probably didnt help. might try and get another couple of hours sleep in a sec…

I dont really want to think about it too much.
I just hope we pull out the best performance of our season

I have hope and confidence.

The Titans came off a bye and were well underdone. Some Dragons players have played even less, once in the past month - and against a disabled Manly side too.

We just need to cheer as loud as we can and bring the boys home.

GOOOO TIIIIIGEEERSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

Cool, calm and collected Hornby happy to play straight bat Greg Prichard

IF THE Dragons are as miserly against Wests Tigers tonight as they were during and after their final training session yesterday, the opposition has no chance.
>
They trained sharply at Redfern Oval, with mistakes kept to an absolute minimum, before captain Ben Hornby fronted the media and delivered an even more clinical performance, answering all of the questions but giving nothing away.
>
Brad Fittler was among those who watched from the grandstand, and said: ''It looked like they all knew their job. Very professional, just what you want for a last session.''
>
Some assume Dragons coach Wayne Bennett tells his players how to handle the media, with the emphasis on keeping answers short and saying nothing that could return to haunt the team. But that is not the way he operates. Many of the players simply watch how Bennett handles media interviews - particularly those all-in ones, like yesterday, when the questions come thick and fast and on a variety of subjects, and you can be caught off-guard - and choose to adopt a similar style.
>
The Dragons have been labelled chokers as a club because of failures by previous versions of the side. And there is the pressure that can come from the massive expectations of a fan base who have had handed down from previous generations the legend of the 11 straight premierships won by the St George half of the joint venture from 1956-66.
>
Bennett's way of handling those issues is to remind his players of what is really important in terms of their approach, and to show them that what people outside of the club say is irrelevant. What his players see is a coach who doesn't carry the burden of expectation, and who doesn't get carried away by praise or flattened by criticism. They like that strength and consistency, and react well to it.
>
Hornby, when asked if he thought the confidence that seemed to be coming out of the Tigers camp was hot air, replied: ''Time will tell, I guess. It doesn't matter what we say, it's how we're going to perform.''
>
Were the Dragons under more pressure than most teams? ''There's pressure on everyone. If you lose you're out, so I don't think there's any more pressure on us than anyone else.''
>
Do you have a Plan B, in case Plan A doesn't work? ''I guess time will tell.''
>
Will you try to attack more to the right than usual, in a bid to take advantage of the dodgy left-side defence of the Tigers? ''We're not going in with any preconceived ideas about where we're going to attack or who we're going to attack. We just go out there to play our footy, and we'll attack both sides just as much.''
>
Have you found any weaknesses in the Tigers? ''Oh, time will tell.''
>
Did you keep something up your sleeve against Manly (the Dragons beat the Sea Eagles 28-0 in week one of the finals)? ''No, we played Manly to try to beat them. At the end of the day, we did that, so we're happy.''
>
Is it the best chance, in your time at the club, that the Dragons have had to go through to the grand final? ''Yes.'' Why? ''We're fresh and we're in a good position to do what we want to do, but as I've said before, time will tell.''
>
Those were a few examples of the question-and-answer session. It was the performance of a man who is focused on one thing, and it's not coming up with a few good lines for the media

**I just read Hornby's article and suddenly became confident we can win. I think the dragons are showing the weight of expectation. It looks as though they believe they deserve the grand final.\
\
I think they believe if the result does not go their way they would've lost the game rather than we win it. In my opinion their mindset is all wrong. They are so focused on executing "their" game plan, they will not cope well when things go wrong - Tigers to win (and win well)**

After watching the Titans so flat last night, I am hoping the Dragons will be the same.

that's what I'm hoping for too, the week off did the Titans no good at all

nope it didnt… hopefully the dragons are flat aswell... doubt it though

gonna have to be on our game 110% for this one.

Just went up the shops wearing my WTs jacket and put a smal WTs flag on the aerial of my car….lots of beeping and fist pumping from other motorists (whats new?) and an old dear of about 90 mention my jacket was of "a lovely colour"

haha yeahh.. just wore my tigers jersey up to the shops… got alot of beeping and UP THE TIGERS !! screaming haha...

... MAN IM SO EXCITED !!!!! ....

After last nights game, I can see why people are saying the rosters are lucky - they did play a good game, but the Gold Coast saved their worst performance of the year for their most important game. Seriously, the Sharks would have beaten them last night.

I am so delirious!! Some of it is due to lack of sleep but mostly in anticipation for the game tonight. I cannot wait. 9 more hours too long!!!!!

my hands are sweaty already, and I feel a mixture of nervous/excitement.
no doubt before game time I will lose my appetite, so will probably have a fluid dinner. lol
**at the moment, I feel like a kid on the eve of a birthday or christmas, who is trying to get to sleep.**

would be great to see.
just hope we don't blow a heap of chances and everything sticks.
my head thinks the dragons will win,but the heart also tells me if we play at our best the dragons can't keep up.

game day isn't here for me yet.
will get up at 4.30am for the game, then go film 4 football games and then go tailgate for 6 hours for the lsu tigers to finish off a magical day of football that should end around 11.30 pm.

heaven

After watching the Roosters continue building momentum last night, I have a feeling the Tigers will follow suit. They've played some tough matches, they're battle hardened and in good form. I see no reason why that won't continue tonight, especially if the Tigers tighten up their defence and control the ball.

Can;t sit still, woke up ~5am this morning, very distracted, put some cash on the boys a little while ago, getting close to opening my first beer.
Nervous as all get out.
Was really worried when Payten pulled out but the confidence the boys are showing in the media all week I think is exactly where the team needs to be.
We will win this and then we'll have a roast chicken dinner next weekend.
FIRE UP TIGERS!!

I was sweet all week, rarely thinking about the game
But as soon as the roosters finished last night the butterflies set in

…can't stop looking at the clock now

Thanks everyone. I wasn't even feeling quietly confident until now. You've geed me up and I'm getting excited, confident and still a little nervous. Just watching the pre-match entertainment of the AFL GF. I want to be one of those mad fans at the NRL GF gettin ready to see my team run out.

Carn the Tigers
