did anyone else hear hollywodd an zorba talking about gareth ellis today?this morning they said the big englishmen is seriously considering his options and may look to head back to the uk cause of internal dramas at the tigers.I can only hope the tigers management can keep him at the club because not may players can fill his role

I wonder if this was to happen , if people would finally all agree that there is some serious issues at work at the Tigers . Plaese let this not be true .ELLIS IS THE CLUBS BEST PURCHASE EVER .

Yeah, Holly and Zorba - cutting edge scoopers (maybe twenty years ago fellas).

Manly v Wests in a few weeks - could it be possible that Zorba is being professionally mischievous … trying to stoke the fire of "alleged" discontent, whipping it up into an inferno of season ending cricket scores.
Nah, surely not.

I think you will find that it was a caller who said "the pommie wants out"!

Probably somebody from this forum.

My mates who are very close to a particular club in the UK have said for a while he may be coming home and their club is one of those after him.

He is in Aus basically to win a comp. Rebuilding may not be what he anticipated. He's close to 30 and he wants to win right now.

He also has a baby and a homesick wife. There's probably a fair bit of truth to this one.

He won't leave he loves the club, more speculation and rumor again like the benji / fulton fiasco from the media it's all BS i bet

Completely different scenario mate. His family is the other side of the world, he has an 18 month old baby and a wife who misses her family. Those are powerful factors.

If we were "close" to winning a comp, that would be a big factor. Right now, we look like going into rebuilding mode and some of his closest mates at the club (Heignho) are being allowed to go. It would be naive in the extreme to think all of this hasn't weighed on Ellis' mind.

If Ellis leaves, I will not renew my membership, that will be be the final straw

To be fair to the club, if Gareth leaves it's not just about footy. It will be about family.

Obviously, the clubs turmoil isn't helping / rebuilding isn't what a 30 year old wants to go through. So, footy is a factor. The main thing would be family though.

If the way Gareth plays his football (committed, dedicated, wholehearted etc) can be used as a guide, he will work through the rebuild and give the 'new' team a go and if that doesn't work then he would head home or even worse sign for a season with a club that has a big chance of winning a premiership and by that time hopefully it will be us!

If Ellis leaves I won't be surprised if it causes a revolt at the club. I hope that it's not true, but geez there does not seem to be any positive talk coming out of Concord at the moment.

I can 100% guarantee you he won't sign for any other NRL club.

He'll either be at Leeds or Castleford if he goes home.

Far out, the only players we have that haven't been spoken about leaving are Galloway and Ayshford. Seriously. At some stage this season, every other player has had rumours about them leaving.

Hope you are right cnx I don't think I could handle watching Gareth play for another NRL club, I don't mind Castleford Tigers so much but not another NRL club.
