Next time he is cited for even breaking a nail he’ll do time…it’s why Unca was so angry wouldn’t surprise if he’s out again this week with a ‘calf strain’…

Burghi gets a week for a hair pull..

A finals game no less...couldn't happen to a nicer grub..

Might be doing an Adrian Morley soon. Won't be able to continue in the nrl with the rap sheet he's got. As you say, couldn't happen to a nicer Grub.

Personally didn't think he did anything wrong.

Burghi on the other hand (hair pulling is not on) I would have given 5 weeks especially with his rap sheet.

Garner one week for arriving a millisecond late (might have made the difference for us v Dogs in a tight game / career best form)

JWH = clearly reckless swinging arm, smashes a bloke into oblivion...gets off.

Kane Evans = shoulder charge to the head, the EXACT tackle they have banned...puts a bloke on a stretcher...gets the same as Luke.

It is farcical, an absolute joke...and the inconsistency is killing the game for a lot of fans.

The favouritism sickens me.

Wow - the NRL just keeps digging the hole deeper. One minute they want the game cleaned up so families come along - cue lets punish Wests Tigers. Next minute they let rubbish like JWH's hit go unpunished. Its not like the guy is a cleanskin. And to those saying JWH's hit was fair enough but lets really punish hair pulling - please give me a break.

If you think hair pulling is fair - you must have gone to a girls school.

Give me a break.

Lol - even the AFL think hair pulling is a minor infringement. You're the one who has obviously gone to a girls school.

If you hadn’t noticed, league is a contact sport and accidents happen. There was a head clash which caused all the blood. Watching the game I could see nothing deliberately illegal about the tackle.

There have been plenty of incidents during the year where the punishment or lack thereof have been quite laughable. However, in this instance, I think they got it about right.

I agree, I didn't think there was any intent or recklessness in JWH's tackle. Liam Knight backs into him and falls, and the damage is caused not by the head collision (low collision on the bicep, mind you, with an arm pointing straight down) but by the secondary collision with the previous tackler.

There's possibly not much too that tackle if Knight isn't sandwiched the way he was, and I don't see intent in that. Penalty yes, on report yes, maybe 1 week but I am actually ok with the call.

And I'm not in any way trying to favour Roosters, I freaking hate them to death. Sam Burgess deserved his, you can't allow proper planned grubbery like hair pulling to go.

I'm still bitter that Tetevano got off, that was the one that got me. JWH was probably an accident but Tetevano deliberately floored Doueihi off the ball and gets off, but Garner gets a week for basically the same thing, except at least Lachlan Lewis actually had the ball when Garner put his shot on.

They got it totally wrong. It was JWH’s responsibility to not whack him in the head. He did nothing to prevent that. There was no movement of his arm to move it away from his head. He got him well and truly. To say it was an accident in a contact sport is laughable. A terrible decision that takes the responsibility away from the defender.

I see it differently. I think it was an accident. These things should happen in the rough and tumble of league. The problem is some get penalised harshly and others don't. In fairness, I dont think Warrea-Hargreaves is a protected species - far from it. The end result compared to other penalties handed down is what is utter crapola.
