Gasnier is coming back now,before June 30 due to an illness in the family,would love to get him,but I don't think it is possible with our Farah & Gibbs allowance cancelled.

Don't want him back in the game.

Every contract he held the game to ransom publicly. He isn't a Sailor, Tuquiri or Rogers who just wen. He made a song and dance every time.

Stuff him.

That and St George have a written contract that he cannot appear for another NRL side before 2012 without their permission
 
he has agreed to terms with Newcastle about a PERMANENT move back to the NRL.

the Knights and Dragons are working out a deal for him as we speak (due to the clause in his release from the NRL a few years back)

Rumour is Dragqueens are going to sign him on a "backloaded" contract. I dare say he'll have a get out clause in his contract to jump to union if they make him an offer.

There's no way they can afford him on a big dollar contract over the next three years within the cap, not with the talent they've got on roster in that time. Schubert won't do or find anything though, he needs disgruntled ex-employees to show him the smoking gun because he's absolutely useless.

I would say lets look at Beau Scott, but we've already got backs and second rowers coming out of our arse.

In all seriousness, would be good to see him back for the NRL, but this bloke rapes us everytime we play. I'd love to know what his try scoring record is against us, it has to be at least 10.

And some. He's got the trifecta against us at least twice from memory.
 
Our cap is over flowing, we will struggle to sign anyone of any quality and back to GAZ, we dont need him, we need a marquee no7 and a marquee front rower and thats not going to happen
 
He's made to look amatuer against the more consistent teams. Melbourne, Canterbury and Brisbane have always had his measure.
 
Bugger him….he shouldnt be allowed to play till at least the end of his Dragons contract. This going to another code and getting big pay then returning to the NRL on a whim is bullcrap.

Knights would be one of the few teams with any money since they had to release Wicks and Houston…

Think if we had a cool $600k or so floating around for next year,the very LAST thing we wld wish to invest it in wld be an ageing outside back.No doubt Gasnier has talent,but his value is much more critical to several clubs moreso than us
I doubt whether we have space under the cap,but if we did u cld buy a couple of really good prop forwards for that sort of $$…

I agree.
this needs to be enforced by NRL bosses.
you sign something, like a contract then you honour it.
if you do not, then your name is not worth the value of the ink in the pen. :smiling_imp:

same as when clubs release players early so they can make room for other players aswell, contracts dont mean squat really
 
Bulldogs would be an option if they wanted to trade out Gasnier for bringing Josh Morris back.

However Doust is a major Gasnier fanboy. He will do what it takes to bring him back to the Stain
 
This is quite amazing. While he is a talented player, the terms in which he left St George was possibly worse than SBW.

Who books a ticket to the UK for the Monday before the NRL Grandfinal, when your team is playing in the Preliminary Final??!!!
