3 strike policy ...you have 3 proven incidents with fans from your club and you get stripped 2 competition points . And from then on you lose 1 competition point with every incident thereafter

Yeah that's not a viable solution for reasons @Todd Packer stated. I have no trouble believing that clubs would have people dress as opposition fans and racially abuse players for their own benefit.

Banning the offenders is really the only solution.

So the Bulldogs are 2 points out of the eight with three teams just above them and Gus the liar sends fans to all three's games dressed in the other three teams' supporter gear to yell dumb sh1t out.
You know he'd do it.
So yeah, nah.

I've no doubt that most clubs would do it. I reckon our club would be safe because our hierarchy would be too stupid to think of it.

I get that Latrell is a bit of a grub on the field and can polarise people for that. So call him a grub or a wanker if you feel you need to let him know you don't like him.

There's no need to make racist remarks.
I agree with you.
All I'm saying is that it was a kid. He received the appropriate consequence of being kicked out of a game and I'm guessing he's banned.
Football was probably the only positive thing in that kid's life for him to behave like that and he's lost it. That's his consequence.
The rest of the carry on is overkill.

I don't know, I feel like the game has a responsibility to say that it's not on, I feel like Penrith probably need to say something as well as it took place at their home ground, irrespective of whether the offender was a fan of the club or not. Players should be able to play the game without being abused for the colour of their skin or ethnicity.

What reaction is that?
If you don't react youre condoning it

The reaction that goes past escorting him from the ground and banning him from games. That's appropriate.
The Souths coach wants him handed over to the police. He wants the kid to be destroyed.
The media is spruiking it like racism is a common thing at games.
Son I've been attending games since 1908 and I've never heard anyone near me yell racist stuff.
So maybe read all the posts before opening your woke book of quotes.

Yeah... Confirmed, You're full of shit.

Meh. I've been called a white c#$t, gubba and all sorts of stuff by Aboriginal kids when I was growing up. Never cared much.
Latrell is soft as but society wants you outraged.

you're over 100 years old?

Too stupid to plant someone in the
crowd to make racist remarks? Sheesh
I know that's not what you meant or
how you feel CB, it just read a bit wrong

Is that viable though ...can you expect someone ( security / gate person ) to pick up on a fan who may or may not be an illegal fan from 25 000 others .....

Doesn't belong in the game full stop.
Nothing to do with being soft, or media
polarisation or anything else. There
is no need for justifications or telling
someone that's experienced it that
they're soft. Get it out of the game.

Until society in general stops separating people into groups based on colour, who landed where first, sexual preference, what's between their legs, weight etc. and the subsets within the groups, all encouraged by the industries and media making money off it, we will always have this problem.

This is such BS. Blaming racism on steps to try and make society more equal. Absolute dribble.

This is coming from the same person who stated that the racism directed at Latrell was a non-event.

Heres the thing,Mitchell,Adam Goodes,Ingless are all high profile indigenous players in respective sports...All have had racial abuse thrown at them during their particular games, its not on as they are talented human beings,of which we all are and we were all made equal in the image of God...
Its human nature not to like everyone for whatever reason, but by degrading them you only degrade yourself...
A perfect example was on Weds night I worked in the bottle shop at the Hotel I work at,an INDIGENOUS male in his 40s was ejected from the hotel because of swearing and abusive behaviour,as he walked through the bottle shop he abused me and called me names I cant repeat on here,so do I contact the media and make a big deal out of it,no because I just laughed at him and told him to get a life apart from the miserable one he has now..the other thing is Im a nobody in the scheme of things, but had I been a highly paid sports person in the public eye what would the outcome be ??
People should be held accountable for their own actions, the only solution that I can give,is try and be the best person you can be and treat others with respect and it will be given back...

We are one big family on this great planet Earth...

""Through family there is HOPE FAITH and LOVE,the greatest of the 3 is LOVE""

I haven't watched much press today ....but are we people surprised that the players from both sides haven't been in the media today speaking out against the actions of this fan

If you hear from your heroes that it isn't ok ...maybe you are more likely to follow their ideals .....

Yep. I really don't like people who try and blame their life/actions on outside factors. Do your best and typically you'll do really freaken well.
