Gerard Beale To Tigers ??

We don't really need him,he is a fullback IMHO,we have Tedesco,Humble,Reddy,Grant,Ryan and even Moltzen at a pinch,we should be looking elsewhere.

Well Tedesco is out for the year. Brown is gone. Humble IMO is a decent back-up but as a first choice #1 I'm not so sure. Grant will be lucky to play FG this year and certainly not at fullback.

I would take Beale.

Gerard Beale

38 games for the Broncos 12 tries

4 games for NZ 2 tries

Plays full back, winger and centre

Very good player.

Hopefully we can sign him this year.

We know the football Gods are not on our sides when he comes to long term injuries.

Don't need him. Tedesco is better.

Beale can also play wing and centre.

So could Brown, Beale would probably be signed up only to waste away on a bench or State Cup for 78 mins a week.

With respect to Brown, Beale is a far better player. He played well for the Broncos at Fullback last year and may be looking for a better opportunity. I would rate him a better player than Ryan and Utai as well.

He did play for New Zealand last year so perhaps the Benji and Blair connection is at play.
I can't see the broncos let a player of his ability go.

His ability compared to Brown isn't my point. We still have a number of players who can fill the role well, Beale will behind others before he gets a chance. If Humble continues to play like he did last week, he'll be hard to knock off.

Players come every year and only a few if that will succeed we always have good vibes about new signings but as shown over the years most disappear without trace….so if the Beale thing is right a quality first grader with speed and talent I say yes he is proven and can fill many positions ..if some of the new singnings stand up great a win all round but the reality is most won't.

here we are 2 days on and this hot rumour has no " go in it at all" please stop posting rubbish, as it serves no purpose.

He's got a FG gig at the Broncos. Why would he jump ship and come to Sydney?

not sure where we would play him in the future but atm i guess he could play at FB or come of the bench as a utility..
In saying that he can play anywhere from 1 - 6 and possibly even hooker if needed.

We could be trying to get him for next year since we probably won't re sign lote and utai

Cant see it happening , but hes a terrific player, great speed, awesome balance…terrific finisher

If he fumbled the ball and let in a try like he did last week half this forum would be sending him to reserve grade (one strike and you're out) - not much room for forgiveness or redemption on here.
