Not really. In the end poor behaviour will impact the player more than the club by reducing their ability to earn a wage. There is no transfer market in rugby league and hence no resale value of a player that can be earned by the club.

Why do you think Premier League players deal with the press so well? They are trained by the club to deal with the press in a professional manner because they are an asset with a resale value.

I agree ink. I read here but havent posted since the forum change but Im fed up. In a comp with a salary cap most teams have an even talent spread, the differences come down to who wants to play for each other and we clearly dont want to do that. Guys being asked to leave or look around at a critical part of the season is DUMB from the Club. Look at Heighno, been asked to test the market after last year being given a one year upgrade and two years before staying loyal to the WT even though he got a bigger offer from StG (an on the way up StG who proved it by winning a comp), he stayed for less here and then gets treated like that. Fifita a junior and one of the brightest stars in the game, sure he has probs in defence BUT he is only 22 or so forwards dont come good til mid to late 20's, hes a player a pack could be built around instead we offload him. Sure blame the players but the Board has blown this year for us noone else.

As a sidenote if Dwyer can lift up a cup of coffee again any time soon it will be a bonus wouldnt be banking on him returning to footy anytime soon if at all.
